Today while in line for verbolten the train came in, seemed to stop short, and they couldn't unload the guests. While stuck with all three trains full of guests in the station, maintenance showed up and announced they needed to roll the first train backwards. The train began rolling backwards on the track and rolled back into the train behind it, lightly, but you could tell it definitely did hit the train (red train rolled into blue train). While it didn't seem like a hard hit, it clearly did unnerve passengers on both trains. Was defining something strange to see, and the employees in the station seemed not to know what to say to the people stuck in the trains as this was happening.

I was in the station while it occurred. Usually they can easily reset the ride and it’ll roll back into its rightful place, but this was certainly interesting. I’ve never seen a “collision”, so this was definitely a first. Little did most of them know that there are bumpers on the front and back of each train.

Apparently we were in all the same places today, I was in the station as well. And when I went to post that invadr reopened on my other comment you posted you were just getting off it.

And yeah, those bumpers definitely helped during the rollback. Without them, even that slow some damage could have been occurring.

It’s certainly a small world.

Anybody notice how they’re only running the wolf theme? They may do it because it’s easier to run and/ or because it gives tribute to BBW.

It's randomized from what I've heard, so you might just be hitting that one all spring. Last summer I went 5 runs in one day with only the storm.

Strange. All 43 rides have been wolf this season.

14 rides a day? For some reason I'm very skeptical.

Actually. 23 on Sunday. 20 today at the time I posted that. Went on it 2 more times to finish the night. All of them were wolf.

There were 3 trains running. Usually there’s a 3 event cycle. I rode on every train. All of them were wolf. It may just be a today thing.

Still very skeptical.

Even if you rode straight through and didn't stop in the station 20 rides, at 3:25, that's about 1 hour 9 minutes of the day. I've seen an average turnaround being about :45 - 1:00. That's about another 20 minutes.

So assuming Bolt was straight walk on all day, that's 1.5 hours alone. Which I highly doubt happened. So even with an average wait of 6 minutes, that's another 1.5 hours waiting.

3 hours of our day. 10 hour day. You spend roughly a third of your day on Bolt alone. And that's assuming you were there all day.

Add in the time yesterday that it was likely down because of the bump.

I love Bolt and even I don't do something like that. Sorry your claim just doesn't add up to me.

I rode it in 4-5 time blocks. I do this with most coasters. It allows me to get tons of rides while keeping an efficient pace. I revisited verbolten a lot these past days because it usually has a long line, but it was walk on. You don’t have to believe anything anyone says. But I’m telling the truth. I’ve ridden Alpengeist 37 times in one day before. It all depends on the lines. If I can stay on without getting off I do it until I have to go through the queue again

So is Verboltens building really gutted? I have only ridden it once in 2012. Hoping to set up a BGW membership soon and get back there this year. If it really is gutted that's a shame and makes me really despise what the blackfish situation appears to be doing to BGW from my perspective.

No. It has all of the previous effects. The building actually seems darker than it was in previous seasons. It’s just that I’ve only seen the wolf theme been played for the past 2 days.

I'm curious to know this as well. When we road on Sneak Peek, even my friends commented on the lack of show curtains in the building which they never noticed before. The one time we road, we had the storm sequence and it really made the experience lack luster. I had an unwavering belief that they're just getting repaired/touched up, but since it has been so long I am no longer holding my breath. The ride isn't the same without the show curtains. It ruins the ride when I can look to the left and see the launch into the building on the final drop and turn up into the drop track at the exit of the building.

I can only hope you're right. When we rode on Sneak Peek, a significant amount curtains were missing. It would be wonderful to hear they hung them all back up this past week leading up to opening weekend.

Rode once today and had storm. No wait.

Wonder if they were doing the same one for an hour at a time. If you rode in blocks then you could get the same one for multiple consecutive rides. We rode around 215

I rode around 1, 3, 6, and 8. You actually may be very right.

I’ll be sure to test it two hours in a row today.
