RE: Verbolten

I heard from numerous sources that they reached the number of testing hours over the past two days, so there is a chance that there may be a soft opening this weekend

RE: Verbolten

The only thing that could get me any more excited about Verbolten would be if BGW announced they would play Dubstep in the Event Building! :) I am waiting for that day though.... :p

RE: Verbolten

Let's hope that today is the day they will do a soft opening! I doubt they would do it on Mother's Day due to the fact that it's Mother's Day and they are having a concert, and they probably won't do it tomorrow either due to the fact that the park will be very crowded. Friday nights are always the least crowded (at least once the awards ceremony for the Music in the Parks event starts in the Royal Palace Theater).

I heard that employees kept on vomiting on the blue train... Any reason why?

I have been told by 3 employees now that while the ride is awsome and unique, it is kinda rough and some employees were vomiting and many had headaches after riding.

RE: Verbolten

I think that shaking and roughness could be lessened by playing around with different wheels.

Anyone who is at the park right now should probably head for Verbolten. Lucky, lucky people. ;)

If I leave work now, I could be there by 1:45. But I would have to be back by 5:30. Hmmmm

RE: Verbolten

Anyone up for a joyride thru the black forest?

Will the park have Gertha and Gunter as actual actors in the queue or near the park? That would add even more a ton of theme to the ride.

If anyone gets a ride and wants their review/opinion/whatever else you want to write posted to the main site, please PM me or post it here. Thanks! Good luck to anyone who's going to try to make it over there for a ride- I wish I could.

Lucky people indeed! I wish I was not at work.

RE: Verbolten

Is it just the blue train that it is bumpy? Is it smooth with other trains? I am very prone to motion sicknesss, so i will avoid the blue train lol.

hearing reports of someone throwing up is pretty extreme. There are coasters that can make you feel sick, but throw up and head aches? I hope this isn't true, and just limited to blue train. Watching the videos, i thought the ride would be super smooth, not bumpy! That is the last thing i wanted to hear. I hope people can clarify if this is true. I mean EUROPE in the air always gets me motion sickness, if this is worse then that...lol. I kind of having a hard time believing this many people threw up. not good.

Just rode;) A nice ride, but don't expect it to blow you away. Definitely more of a "family ride" than a "thrill" ride.

How are the special effects? How does it compare to Mummy or Rock n Roller coaster? Is it smooth? These reviews are lacking description! More description bg fans!

RE: Verbolten

I have the motion sickness issue as well, very few roller coasters bother me though, it's being in the dark with motion that does it. EITA is a definite no no. Hopefully Verbolten will be ok. I'll be there about 4:30 to find out for sure!

Sorry, sent that from my tablet. I've never ridden those other coasters so I can't compare.

My impressions: It was slower than I expected. I didn't have any issues with motion sickness or anything. I would say in general, the ride was smooth, the special effects in the building were cool, but there really weren't any elements that were especially "thrilling. The launches, the drops, the speed, etc. we all a bit underwhelming.

It was a fun ride though. Definitely a different experience from the other coasters.

RE: Verbolten

I think it shall fill the void they were looking to fill perfectly. It offers an experience different from their other coasters and is gentle enough for a wider audience. Sounds like an excellent addition to me
