RE: Verbolten

A suppot I can see them putting in without taking the roof off. If they can get a winch truck in I can imagine they can get a flatbed and a small crane. If they have to do a piece of track, the roof would pretty much have to come off.

RE: Verbolten

I'd say it's possible, but extremely difficult. Silver Bullet had one of it's supports replaced to make room for WindSeeker, but obviously they didn't have the space constraints.

RE: Verbolten

I don't see how this incident is even possible. The truck would have either had to been on top of the track some how, or resting right against it. The trains barely hang over at all (as seen in the pic).

I know that not the real track, but has the same dimensions.

RE: Verbolten

The truck was hit at the bottom of the helix where there's some pretty extreme banking. If the track was flat like it is in the picture, it wouldn't have happened.

@ RocketChk I posted my statement on here for a reason for the VIP event people who have never been to one will be the first to say "Oh its nothing" but people who have been to one know its very nice and like you said and honor to even be chosen to go. @ Everyoneelse- Anyway I'm done with this site why even start a Verbolten thread up if you don't care about anything about Verbolten or any events for Verbolten. I was going to tell information about the event and pictures but I know I don't need to waste my time with this site. It seems you have to be in a certain "clique" to be able to post on here without it being removed or edited. You might as well drop the thread now since everyone knows so much about Verbolten and was the creator. Let's see if this will be ignored :sleepy:

BOOM!

I have been to a few of their social media events, they are nice and fun but they aren't to die for or really extremely VIP. It's usually centered around free stuff which is nice but I can do the same thing if I pay.

I think the delay won't be too long if the damage is not as terrible as we are speculating. Also I see no need for attorneys or investigations other than a quick, what went wrong and how to fix it thing.

I am actually surprised because with ongoing testing I would hope they have even more strict safety rules. I still think it will open on time or a week or two late at most. I think no later than Memorial Day weekend.

RE: Verbolten

I guess it depends on where the support is but I imagine that 50 feet (total guess on span between the supports) of track could hold itself up without much more than some basic bracing of some sort.

RE: Verbolten

It's all very possible but I doubt it. Once we find out the actual damage on the ride then yes but right now I think the ride won't open with certain things in its correct place i.e. 5 trains. Its possible we can get the 5th train fixed by time it opens but the train won't be fully tested to open on time. Everything else should be fine if they can get the support and track piece in piece with no error's whats so ever.

RE: Verbolten

Fixing the train shouldn't be a problem, that should be the easiest thing. I am sure zierer can ship a new one out in about a week.

RE: Verbolten

So this is Force One, but you get it. I would imagine that if the truck was close enough to the track that this banking could cause some damage even going at 30mph.

That being said I'm still skeptical about this.....too much hearsay about what might or might not be damaged (hence why I haven't been commenting). I could see this being POSSIBLE, but, just like witness testimony, individual accounts are fairly unreliable. Not saying SOMETHING didn't happen, just that I'll stay away from making gross assumptions.

RE: Verbolten

I understand the lack of belief that it happened (I mean we've put out so many things that have proved untrue in the past), but the accident did happen, 100%. We're piecing together the information as it comes in to get a full picture and address everyones questions. Trust me, last night we spent hours trying to figure out exactly what happened, and are getting more information from multiple, independent sources as the day progresses.

RE: Verbolten

Actually, I think Chris might be the only person on this forum I wholeheartedly trust. Noted. Something happened.

That being said, if the train is rolling without damaging the track, I'm assuming that the damage was to the aesthetic parts of the train as opposed to functional.
