RE: Verbolten

So I guess they learned from their mistakes if they got the train out that quick... I don't see them getting another wench truck in there in one days time without some investigation and time taken to get the damaged one out.

This being said, I still can't trust everything that is being said, but that is just me.

RE: Verbolten

They're still on a tight schedule, mistakes or not. That train probably needed to be moved in order to start inspecting the track and whatnot. The track and that support are obviously the top priorities right now. They can open with 4 trains but they can't open with damaged track. Also, a damaged support will take a ton longer to fix than a train.

RE: Verbolten

The sick feeling im getting is, what if they have to take down a good bunch of the effects AND the roof in order to get to the broken section, then have to put it all back together again? Do you realize how long that would take??? It really sickens me to think that they would have to do that, after mach tower and what not, you know they wanted to start off again with a clean slate after that...but this must be turning out to be really disappointing at management.....Hence why I am shocked about the whole thing...

That being said, if the train is rolling without damaging the track, I'm assuming that the damage was to the aesthetic parts of the train as opposed to functional.

If they were able to get the train back into the maintenance bay then it appears that there was no serious damage to the chassis or wheel assemblies of the train. However, the collision could've impacted other functions of the train like the restraints, video camers, etc.

RE: Verbolten

I bet it completely screwed up the first car but the rest are fine. There could be moderate damage to the second one, but that's all I see being damaged. I bet Zierer will need to ship a new support, two new cars, and possibly a new track piece.

That being said, it seems slightly creepy that they put that Porsche wrapped around the tree out front and when building it, the truck got wrapped around the support.

Also, I'm glad the driver is safe. Hopefully he makes a quick recovery.

Actually, I think Chris might be the only person on this forum I wholeheartedly trust. Noted. Something happened.

I could hear Swift's heart breaking :p

For what it's worth:

Girl outside Verbolten reported their has a minor incident but next weekend will be the soft opening. She told me not to tell. lol

Damage must not be as bad as speculated if they expect I soft open next weekend.

Perhaps, but Mach Tower was also opening in "two weeks" for two months.

I was thinking the same thing! XD I have a feeling that either a. the park didn't tell the employees how bad it was or b. she wasn't supposed to tell you. There's no way that a coaster opens a week from a truck getting wrapped around its support.

RE: Verbolten

I think that the incident occurred but damage to the track and support was minimal to what we have been thinking. Especially if it is opening so soon still.

RE: Verbolten

That drop looks like it'll be a lot of fun. Can't wait to possibly ride it this August if we're in the area. (that being said, the brakes on my recreation were programmed HORRIBLY, guess I'm off to fix that! XD) Though I do like how the brakes make it look like the car was trying to stop up there but the bridge snapped. Can't wait for more testing footage...

RE: Verbolten

Now that is a sigh of relief. Glad to see that the structure wasn't too badly damaged.
