RE: Verbolten

The water dummy was to scared to brave the black forest, so he ran off to Mexico! :p

RE: Verbolten

Nope, everything that was posted was provided by numerous sources. We knew there was an accident and it certainly had the abibilty to be very serious. This entire time it was still considered a rumor since the park had made no announcement.

RE: Verbolten

One of the pitfalls of being a fansite like this one is that you get hits and misses. When we get rumors, we post them. In this case the basic facts of the rumor seem to be accurate, some type of accident occurred, causing damage to the yellow train and an injury. I will admit that the way the information was framed and the discussion that followed made the details of the damage seem more extensive than they obviously really are. Sources provide their best recollection of the events in what can be a traumatic experience and we relay that information to you.

Our intent in reporting this rumor was not to mislead anyone and certainly not to cast doubt on the safety of the ride as Busch Gardens has an amazing safety record. The intent was to do what the site does, put out information we hear about the park out for the community to discuss. Again, even though it seems that the basic information about the incident was accurate, this was obviously somewhat of a miss on our part since the information we received and disseminated regarding the damage was well off from reality. We don't ask for credit on the hits, but I'd like to apologize for the miss in relation to damage estimates.

We still stand by the report that an accident did occur and caused damage to the yellow train as well as cause an injury to a worker.

RE: Verbolten

What I meant by saying that was.......to a broader spectrum of times when we got rumors like this and we all fell for them over and over, but finally I just didnt believe it this time.....

But then I guess I'm wrong because if it were truly "the boy who cries wolf", the incident really would have taken place, just NOBODY would have believed it....Am i making that clear?

RE: Verbolten

And what rumors have you fallen for prior that haven't been true? Please elaborate.

RE: Verbolten

Im sorry, I must be confusing myself......the big bad wolf reference was a bad one to use...sorry to confuse everyone.....I fell for the 300 ft rumor, to name one, but my whole point in saying that was, since we now know that everything isnt AS bad as it previously seemed, it looks like we all got sort of anxious and hyped up and some of us just didnt believe it by the end of it all....but now that the cat is out of the bag, it looks like everything is not what it seems...? I dont know, Im not one for nursery rhymes....just forget whatever I recently posted. :/

RE: Verbolten

I think I see what's going on.

I would like to personally apologize to iheartbgw2020 and the rest of the forums. I created the rumor that My Little Pony was coming to the park as, what people were able to confirm, was an April Fool's joke. It was irresponsible to spread false rumors like that. I apologize if I compromised your trust of the forums.

RE: Verbolten

All I can say is this is creepy as hell cause I had a dream last night about the Orange train testing today 0.o Good to see that the track/supports didn't take much (if any) damage. Still hope the guy is ok.

RE: Verbolten

Im really glad that everything structurally seems to be good with the ride. If it was able to be moved into the bay, does that mean that the only major damage to the yellow train is cosmetic? And an added note, Im glad that the worker is in stable condition.

RE: Verbolten

The guy is fine, from what I was told today (choose to believe, or not to believe). He received some stitches, but not nearly as many as originally reported ("a few" is what I was told). I was told he was NOT thrown from his vehicle, but I couldn't pry too much more regarding this, just that he "bumped" his head.

As for damage to the track/support/footer. This rumor was denied. The person cited the full circuit testing as proof that this rumor is false.

As for the Yellow train, yes, it was in the maintenance bay because it received some damage. I was unable to get much regarding this, but I got the impression that it was merely cosmetic.... at least not very serious damage. But I have no quotes or anything from this person to back this up, just my impression.

I asked several times, and in different ways, about the May 18 opening. And this person clearly stated that everything was on schedule, still, for this date.

The person I spoke to was not 'just' one of the ride operators or kiosk person. This person was at Verbolten, involved in the testing that was going on. This person knew the full story of what happened, and I told her what I heard, and they made it clear that yes, something happened, but not nearly as bad as what I heard.

I know we pretty much already cleared all this up, but Im just getting a chance to tell fully what I was told.

RE: Verbolten

Verbolten looks great testing! I can not wait to ride. What are the chances that there could possibly be a soft opening next weekend, as before mentioned?
