Now that is a sigh of relief. Glad to see that the structure wasn't too badly damaged.

Thank goodness, IF anything happened I think the initial report can be chalked up as a exaggeration

RE: Verbolten

Just throwing this out there, but until employees are trained on the ride (and as far as I know/coming from different sources they have not been trained on it yet), there will be no soft opening on the ride.

I did get to see the bridge from Festhaus Park today though. It looks amazing.

There certainly was an incident. I guess the damage turned out just not to be as bad as we feared.

He's also reporting it was a full circuit, which means the damage may be to the yellow train and whatever (lift/truck) it hit. If full circuits are running today it's obviously very good news.

RE: Verbolten

It's great to know that the support that we were so worried about is in good enough shape to run the ride. Now the question is how bad is the damage to the train and is the guy who was injured ok.

I do still have to wonder if that's truly the end of the story for that support. Could they just be stress testing it to see if any damage appears?

Is there any proof of this other than independent sources? Seems like the park looked at the Facebook page today and said what the heck is this about a truck being bent around a support and damage to yellow train? I guess we can solve this quickly by showing people the train in question testing not one day after such a bad accident. The fact that this report has only been brought up here is very suspicious, feel sorry for the park having to put up with this today

For the record, that's the Orange train in the vid.

RE: Verbolten

Yes, the yellow train (the one that was involved in the accident) is hidden inside the maintenance bay. If the story is indeed false, all they would need to do is run the yellow train and we'd be eating words.

When someone hears something they go nuts. Its just like the game telephone, it gets worse!

Its just a rumor, my sources that have been working on the ride say its not true.

I'll be there all day tomorrow (from around 11:30 on). Stay tuned...

RE: Verbolten

I am at Busch now. Full testing, as you have seen. Yellow train in bay. Man did receive stitches. Was not injured badly. I asked will the park open on time (May 18). The answer was "yes".

RE: Verbolten

Well in defense of my sources, things apparently looked really bad. We're very lucky that things aren't worse than they turned out to be. Better to report on it and get a few things wrong than to not report on it at all. Or at least that's what I tell myself... :D
