RE: Verbolten

Yeah, didn't seem right, but for some reason I went with it.

Even if the Griffon was 15.6, Verbolten would still be about 3.5 Griffons though. That's still a lot.

RE: Verbolten

The numbers listed on Henderson's website is the lump sum amount paid to the contractor and sub-contractors for the actual construction. That price does not include the designing and manufacturing.

Kingadam, I don't think the prices from Henderson's site include everything. RCDB has Griffon listed at $15.6 million.
The $15.6 million is the total price for the installation of the coaster itself.

LOL - wouldn't that be ironic. "Yes, you can work here. No, you are still banned form the park"

RE: Verbolten

Okay, so with the video that they made with the 3 QR videos, I think we know exactly what we will encounter in the event building, assuming it is all in order of appearance:

1. Launch into building, pass through cutout themed to a falling tree.
2. Gnomes just randomly pop up? No idea why there are gnomes in there, they're not scary or dangerous or anything. Kind of silly if you ask me.
3. Pass through cutout themed to rockslide
4. Pass through cutout themed to wolves
5. Pass through cutout themed to bats
6. Vertical Drop with giant vines in front of it, launch out of building and into drop

This is just how I interpreted the video. It could be a bit more high tech than just passing through those cutouts, as it looked like there could be more theming than just 2D panels. When I was doing my recreation, I noticed in the plans that some of the things on the ride included something called a moon box in the helix, and also something called "Fiery Eyes LED effect." Do we know anything else about the theming in the building other than what we saw with the blacklight paintings?

Also, am I the only one who noticed that the whole time those videos were being released, nobody was driving the car? :p Talented vehicle right there...

Fiery Eyes sounds like the Wolf reference everyone's so ecstatic about!!!

That is probably true, but what about the "moon box" thing in the middle of the helix?

Also, on the subject of what is in the building, do we know if there will be any of the weather effects/smell effects/whatever we discussed earlier? I think they would need a bit more than just blacklight paintings to make this ride a success.

Something else, the ride time is supposed to be like 3 minutes, right? Doesn't this coaster seem a tad short for 3 minutes? And there is both an MCBR and a vertical drop in the building, so could we be seeing a show scene at one of those locations? An animatronic ride show in blacklight would be kind of cool...

RE: Verbolten

i expect weather effects, i think some rain and lighting will be the biggest thing for weather effects, but i think we can see an actual falling tree like how the statue in pompeii falls, something similar, and then as far as the wolves goes it sound like what ever we see of them, their eyes will consist of red lights and perhaps one will jump out at you like in the video, this 'moon box' is it defined on the internet somewhere perhaps?

RE: Verbolten

i noticed that there were 2 MCBRs. One inside the event building, second right before the drop... 3 if you count the drop of the track. so maybe we will be stoping more than once!

RE: Verbolten

There's a ton more than 3. I don't have a link, but this was discussed somewhere else in this thread already.

RE: Verbolten

i would imagine with so many road hazzards that seem to be in the black forest that you would have a delayed trip quiet often, after all, what happens when you run into a hazzard in real life? you slow down, but it will still be a one-of-a-kind experience which is what will really grab people.

RE: Verbolten

the park re-posted the video asking what people's favorite parts of the video were, and they have been glorified with nothing but almost all positive comments. only one person has actually said they will be going to KD instead of BGW because of this video, everyone else in the GP is like, "what the heck is this, OMG! I really want to go to busch gardens now!"

RE: Verbolten

Since we're talking marketing, why doesn't BGW have a sign by the highway. KD does it, and Seaworld does it. They could use the LCD sign like KD does to easily put up messages.
