I don't think it's worse than Loch Ness. I rode it in the back several times in a row and was not feeling my best. It is the helix in the event building; it made my vision fade, and my friend felt dizzy every single time we rode it. But nothing that happened kept me from riding it.

First off let's stop this whole rough as DF. That is just stupid. DF failed because its inversions were designed improperly and the forces they created made it incredibly rough since the train couldn't move through them smoothly based on where the center of gravity was placed.

As far as it being as rough as LNM, I'm going to have to disagree there too. This ride is just a little bumpy. Nothing more than that. Not once am I like "Holy crap this is so rough I can't enjoy it". It is just something you notice and when you have a forum where people have nothing better to do than to find something to talk about and run with it, it becomes a much bigger deal than it ever is.

^ I agree. To me Verbolten was disorienting more than anything else, not knowing which way I was turning while in the dark and what not. I only say Loch Ness Monster is rough because my head bounces around in the loops. Other than that its still great. I wasn't trying to blast either of these for being rough though. Really I was trying to point out that Verbolten in no way compares to Drachen Fire.

Exactly, their isn't nice smooth paved roads in the black Forrest

I did the ride at least 20 times during the open house and I noticed the rattle was pretty bad in some cars and not so bad in others. You could really feel it going toward the first launch and into the last few turnaround. The roughness also depends on where you sit. I didn't find the rattle problematic, although I really hope it doesn't get that much worse over time.

I really enjoyed riding in the back row more than the front. The ride felt much more aggressive back there. I also managed to get a few small pops of air here and there. Definitely not Manta, Kumba, or Alpengeist intense, but still intense enough to be fun.

Of all the storylines I saw, I honestly think they're all pretty even. I really don't have a personal favorite (although the spirit could be a bit clearer. All I heard was mumbling whenever she'd speak).

What row would you say is better for the all around experience?

Also,I am going to the park tommorow to check out Verbolten, would you guys like pictures of Verbolten or anything in specific?(Swift would you want some new ones for the front page?)

To those complaining about "roughness," while in line this morning, I noticed that the trains' upstop wheels are not flush with the bottom of the track as we are accustomed to on B&Ms. This gap between the track and wheels is most likely responsible for the rattling and shaky-ness in the s-turn over the water.

You're more than welcome to post them to the forums but I doubt it will justify a main site post post seeing that nothing has really changed. We can never get enough pictures though. ;)

I hope they start tours soon! I am going next on Wednesday with a few friends and they would love to go on that! Plus, it is reasonably priced
