RE: Verbolten

Pause at 4:28.
Does he not know he's not supposed to look back as he braves the black forest?! :p

RE: Verbolten

I was a guest of an employee last night and was only able to ride 3 times before I had to stop. Although it is an awesome coaster, I found the ride to be pretty rough and jarring leaving me with a headache. They need to do something to make the ride smoother. Never a good sign when we saw medics taking someone out on a stretcher with what was reported to be a neck injury.

RE: Verbolten

I finally rode last Sunday and loved it. I did not find it to be that rough at all. The only part that seemed to be a little bumpy was leaving the station. I only rode once though. It seems that all of the reports I have seen on here about it being rough have come from the special events where people are riding it over and over and over again. I think any coaster would be a little jarring after riding multiple times in a row. I can't give a final verdict on it yet though, I will have to ride it a few more times first.

I've ridden just about in every seat on the ride and I can tell you that no one should be having neck injuries. Only thing I can possibly think of that would cause a neck injury is if you were looking backwards when the second launch starts. It could snap your neck pretty good.

And the ride isn't that rough. Worst problem I've had is blacking out a little during the helix.

RE: Verbolten

Most single injury incidents on rides are at the fault of the rider. Come on it should be common sense NOT to look back in the lauch >_>.

I have been on the ride 4 times with no problems at all. I dont know of any roller coasters that are as smmth as ice however this coaster sure is not like riding a wooden coaster, talk about knocking the fillings out of your teeth ride the wooden coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa, thats a rough ride!!

RE: Verbolten

I am not the only one from last night complaining about the roughness, several others we were talking to said the same thing. We also overheard someone saying that the medics had to treat 9 people who rode yesterday. With the technology out, I expected this to be a much smoother ride and it was not. Maybe I an too used to the 3 B&M coasters they have which I think are a much smoother ride and do not give me headaches. I would say that this would be one of my favorites if it were not for the roughness. Cheetah Hunt is still my favorite of all the Busch coasters.

RE: Verbolten

I think if you do multiple rides you would feel it more but for a first time rider riding once not looking for the roughness you won't feel it.

RE: Verbolten

My dad and I rode it 6 times... He had to quit after a while because he was pretty banged up... He thought it was one of the best coasters ever... I hate all the negative comments on the verbolten videos

^To be honest, I really don't know, it definitely has more of a kick to it though.
It probably feels faster because your not moving as fast wen u get to that launch

RE: Verbolten

Gerta warned us about the Black Forest, if you can't take the heat, don't go into the kitchen! :p

Seriously it's sounding like Drachen Fire all over again hearing these posts, are people actually getting roughed up on this? I had zero issue, I never see medics at Alpengeist, and Lord knows that Cobra Roll will rattle your cortex like no other. Medics treating riders? Please folks do your best to get to the bottom of this, right now all of this is very sketchy and not reassuring to potential riders...

RE: Verbolten

Verbolten is not that rough like it was said before its the riders acting stupid getting hurt.

Its a good ride people need to quit being wusses

RE: Verbolten

Not even close in roughness to Drachen Fire. Loch Ness Monster is way more rough than Verbolten right now.

Actually, I'd disagree. In my honest opinion, Verbolten is considerably rougher than Loch Ness Monster. There is, however, a major difference that changes the game completely: Verbolten doesn't have over-the-shoulder restraints meaning that there is zero headbanging. I'd say it this way: It's rough, but, at least for me personally, it's not an uncomfortable or painful roughness.

RE: Verbolten

My friend rode it and said it wasn't as rough as LNM. They also rode a few times and felt fine, no injury or illness came upon them. However, another friend rode it back to back for a little while and looked sick to their stomach. I suppose multiple rides on a coaster could get you a little sick after awhile.
