It's not a thrill park. Think of it in the same league as Legoland or Sesame Place parks, or regional children's-focused parks like Dutch Wonderland, Idlewild, Santa's Village, etc. Not designed for teens or adults - unless they have a small child with them, probably not on their radar.

There's also a "Universal Kids to Universal Parks" pipeline that could be established. This could cultivate an audience with local families who would then "trade up" in the future, by going to the Orlando resort for vacation once they've outgrown the park.
I agree. Everyone else has just criticzed
me.

The only question mark I have about this project is the name. I assume they market-tested the crap out of the name before they went forward with it, so I’m sure they had a good reason, but having “Kids” in the name feels like it limits its audience. Obviously, yes, it makes it a super clear invitation to the park’s target audience (families with kids). But I wonder if they could have picked a name that still clearly signals who the park is for, while also still opening the door for others to visit too.

I for one would love to visit this park to see the SpongeBob area. But I feel a little weird about visiting a park that explicitly has “Kids” in its name.

In the meantime, I’ll continue to silently lobby for retheming IOA’s Toon Lagoon to Bikini Bottom.

I would've named it "Family Resort" instead, but maybe they thought it'd be misleading then, not sure.

That’s a good point @Mushroom but my guess in it is that they tested the name and including “kids” in the name is very intentional to avoid guests expecting anything like their Orlando and Hollywood parks. I do think they was a drive away a certain sector of people who would then go expecting more grownup friendly attractions then being disappointed in the expanse of kid friendly.

I wonder what the coaster will be if is one.
From the concept art, it looks like a Zierer Force coaster for Trolls, and a Vekoma Roller Skater (similar to Hippogriff, or maybe a Mack Youngstar, like USH has) for the Minions/Jurassic World area - hard to tell from the concept art which land it belongs to. In a previous flyover, the Trolls coaster looks like footers were dug in a similar shape. Obviously, plans can change.

They seem decent family coaster. I think there will be a Mack Youngstar coaster as it's more thrilling than a Zierer Force Coaster.

It's a real bummer that it doesn't look like there will be any sort of darkride in this park. Even if there had been just one sorta traditional, tracked darkride this park would look way, way more appealing to me. I know I'm not the target audience, but classic Fantasyland-style darkrides are a hit with families for a reason at the Disney parks. Really feels like this was Universal's opportunity to put something like that together, you know? I mean even the Legoland parks have darkrides...
