Universal Kids Resort has officially been named! And alongside that--new artwork has officially been released, particularly featuring a familiar pineapple under the sea that has yet to be announced of it's debut to a Universal theme park land.

  • Crews broke ground last month.
  • Universal execs wouldn't divulge the cost of the project, but Frisco expects the company to invest at least $550 million for construction.
  • City records show the park should open no later than June 30, 2026.
  • Universal executives said they will release more details over time about the themes of the "immersive" lands throughout the resort. We expect there will be a lot of minions.

The other junior coasters at Universal Parks seem to all be either Vekoma or Mack models.

I find it funny they got the exact same model that both Busch Sesame areas and Sesame Place CA have vs. a larger or more custom layout.

As Zachary pointed out, you are not the target audience. This is not a thrill park. This is not a traditional Universal park. This is DreamWorks land built large. It is meant entirely for families with small children. Want thrills? Go to SFoT.
Did I say I wanted thrills? No. I said that I couldn't imagine a Universal park without thrills. If I had the chance I still come to this park for the theming.

Like the location is good but I would never see Universal opening a park without any thrill rides.
It's not a thrill park. Think of it in the same league as Legoland or Sesame Place parks, or regional children's-focused parks like Dutch Wonderland, Idlewild, Santa's Village, etc. Not designed for teens or adults - unless they have a small child with them, probably not on their radar.

There's also a "Universal Kids to Universal Parks" pipeline that could be established. This could cultivate an audience with local families who would then "trade up" in the future, by going to the Orlando resort for vacation once they've outgrown the park.
