Got to ride during the season pass first to ride event (Epic Universe wasn’t the only thing to open today!). Not a long cycle but I did get 4-5 good swings into the rain.

One thing i hate about Hershey is the candy themed rides. Very six flags like. Why wouldn’t they just paint the red towers and air tanks to actually look like twizzlers

I hope they plan to cover that queue. It'll already be a miserable place to be in the summer without shade, but people waiting there are definitely gonna get spit on and whatnot too. Covers 100% needed.

It's Hershey, so probably.

I don't think they are but there were umbrellas out on media day. Reminds me of the umbrellas out at SkyRush in that queue. My guess is that they want people to see the ride so they don't want to completely cover it, and if it's not needed for loose articles/nets there's no reason to?

There are two spots for mist fans that aren't installed right now, at least. A water tube for one is showing on the left in this photo:

It's an easy out for a ride theme. For years Hersheypark didn't really lean into the candy themes and guests always asked for it in guest comments. I think it looks great, and the red really pops on the hillside against Great Bear and Looper.

In Hersheys defense the heat isn't that bad most the year and the dry park isn't nearly as busy as the water park when it is actually hot.

They finally added mist fans to the queue! Two on the lower queue and one on the steps.
