I’ve been seeing a lot of talk about Twitim (myself included) in the fast lane thread and I really wonder what happened to the pouches on the seats and why they got rid of them. The current locker system is annoying due to how long it causes the line to be, and I wish they could get rid of it.

The discussion about the removal of the pouches and installation of the locker starts here: KD Attractions - Twisted Timbers Note that I have not scrolled through the conversation to determine what the rationale was. It might also help to try looking back at the Steel Vengeance thread from about a year before that post, to see if the rationale for the change is mentioned there.

Rationale was loose items were still carried onto the coaster and not using the pouches IIRC. So they just hard lined the no loose items.

I'd imagine it's not intuitive at all for guests to look for the pouches, creating a safety hazard. BGW has put in one of the better systems recently of small bins next to the loading area for those small items. Very intuitive and easy for guests to use correctly.

The pouches slow down operations considerably. There is also the issue of getting people to use the pouches. The handstamp (later red card) at the metal detector if you had items for the pouch was an operational nightmare, not to mention people would not always put all of their items in the pouches.

Same problem, getting people to use them. Also it slows down loading and loose articals get stolen.
I heard second hand that the reason they introduced metal detection is thirty-five cell phones got lost at the first rider event.

This may sound completely crazy, but would it be possible to implement a Yukon striker style loose article system where a bin just like is in sync with a train when it’s loading and unloading?

Not really with metal detectors, you could do it like Alpenfury, but then you would not get to chose your row. Plus any delay in the metal detection results in a delayed dispatch, resulting in longer lines.

I’m even fine with the smaller lockers that TT2 has, not that I’ve been to Cedar Point since it opened but I’m very minimalist in what I bring into a park anyway (phone, wallet, chapstick, and previously a portable charger because my last 2 phones had abysmal battery life). I don’t entirely mind paying for the day locker pass, but free would obviously be nice.

The last time I went with one I had to put it in the paid locker. They wouldn't allow me put it in the free lockers.

Are fanny packs allowed?

They are not. Any bag is supposed to be put in the paid lockers.

I usually just shove it in the free lockers

Depending on who os working the line and how observant they are you might not even be aloud in line with one as technically bags are not permitted in the free lockers do to their size a nd tendency to get jammed by straps.

Just put it under your shirt till you get to the locker

Well that's a bummer. Figures the fanny pack I used for rides such as Copperhead Strike and Fury 325 won't work on my favorite coaster

The lines this week where so long for tt. I thought not having winterfest would mean having two trains at the start of the season. Same for pantherian. Didn't they get the 2nd train on really late last year?
