Man, I guess I'll just leave my phone in my car when I go this weekend? I wonder if they'll ban small paperback books... I need something to do in line.
I left my phone in my room at Hotel Breakers when I was at Cedar Point and I think I'll leave my phone behind for all future amusement park visits. If I could handle the 90+ minute waits for Steel Vengeance without my phone, waiting for Twisted Timbers will be nothing.

Has anyone mentioned how Cedar Fair is testing/prototyping a pouch on the back of the seats for TT and SV for people to put their loose articles in? Currently you are not allowed to put articles into the pouch, but clearly they are testing to see if this pouch will be a suitable storage for loose articles, as many other parks already do this.

I didn't see anyone else talking about this in this thread unless I just missed it.

SeaWorld Orlando has small compartments on the exit gates themselves to save riders and ride ops a step. This way, ride ops don't have to open the exit gates and wait however long for boarding guests to return to their seats. I wonder if this would work for KD?

Does anybody know if Twisted Timbers will close for Haunt like Hurler used to? I was perusing the Haunt website and it doesn't appear to be listed on the rides. It could potentially be outdated but I'm not sure.

There’s a short discussion about this happening on the third page of the Halloween Haunt 2018 thread, but in short, we’re not entirely sure, but I wouldn’t bet on it being open if they follow protocol from the Hurler years.

The Haunt website has been fully updated with all of the new Haunt attractions and they have also included the rides that will be open for the event. Twisted Timbers is not on that list, which means that it will likely close around 5:30pm each night before Blood on the Bayou opens at 6pm.

I wonder why that is? Bayou doesn't share a queue with Timbers, their entrances aren't close enough for congestion to be an issue, and the track clearance is well above the Bayou queue pathway. Unless I'm missing a reason why the two can't coexist, this strikes me as a silly decision.

I would imagine its because of loose article risks. That being said, the fence of that area is high enough to be able to put netting over the queue which would prevent that sort of thing.

If this is the case, it would be silly to close their new ride during some of the busiest days of the year.

I could also imagine that cooler weather is a factor especially since it has the newer wheels that slow things down.

I agree that loose articles shouldn't be a factor, especially since the coaster crosses guest pathways at equally low clearances several times in the queue.

Maybe this is simply another instance of misinformed marketing on the park's behalf.

I'm not sure why there would be any changes to Bayou's queue line? That area has been basically untouched since last year.

My apologies, what I meant is that I'm sure there haven't been any changes, so I'm wondering why KD decided this year that it was safe to operate both the coaster and the maze at the same time (when they never did that for Hurler) if nothing has been changed in that area. I wonder if KD put some extra protection above the part of the Bayou queue that goes under it or something. When I last rode Twisted Timber I tried to get a good look at that specific area and it looked identical to when Hurler was in operation.

My main concern is that I'm worried about the coaster making too much noise near the maze.

Since Twisted Timbers already has (and Hurler had) equally low clearance and path flyovers in the regular ride queue, I wouldn't be surprised if the decision not to open Hurler during Haunt was purely a staffing issue. It's easy to close a minor, unpopular coaster when your park is already low on staffing and blame it on the Haunt maze located within the ride; Twisted Timbers, obviously, doesn't have that luxury as the park's headlining new attraction.

Why do the always have rows empty. Is it the sensors on the lap bars that are not working? The have been having problems all season long with row 2. I hope RMC gets them fixed before next year.
