I really hope they surprise us with different rides running in the winter, and hopefully including Tumbili. Would make it much more appealing. But... what's the lowest temp Tumbili can operate in?

I'm not 100% confirmed on this but I've heard S&S Free spins can run as low as 34 which makes it a no brainer imo. That thing can hold over people once Dom and TT go down at 40 for a couple hours.

Bigger question is if the park wants to open up that section of JX - it's not as easy to cordon off the rest of the area (though they could run Arachnidia assuming it's ok in cold) as it is to block the paths coming from Dominator and CAG/PS.

However, they could open up the restaurant there.

I mean it ran while it was snowing hoping day so I think it is safe to say it can run in the cold.

Yes but do they have any other work in the area that might pose a problem for operations?

I wouldn't say that the free spins can operate in lower temps. If I were to guess, it would be about 40 degrees when it would shut down. The Six Flags models valley all the time in cold and wind. Also, Tumbili didn't really run all that well opening day with the snow. Only two trains got sent out before closing for temperature and then the park closed early.

That Sunday after it opened I went and rode it sub 40 while TT, Dom, and I305 were closed for temps still, it was cold as hell that day. So it’s definitely sub-40, the exact number I’m not sure.

If that's the tame side, then this is probably one of the most intense 4D Freespins, if not the most intense.
Oh boy…. You haven’t seen Dragon Slayer at Adventureland. THAT is a bonkers freespin. (Small size, like Tumbili)

Edit:
Also, a freespin in Japan called Arashi is a full size one with lots of flipping in it. Linked as well.

Holy…wow! The Six Flags models don’t come close to this!
And that one is of the smaller clone size. I linked the full size version in Japan that’s the equivalent in terms of flips.

My first ride on Tumbili was much more like that Dragon Slayer POV, except I got 3 flips on the top part and then I can't remember how many I got elsewhere, but there were more flips. 2nd ride wasn't as wild.

Are the Tumbili seats spinning more continuously now? A difference I've noticed between this and the Six Flags models is that the SF ones tend to spin more consistently; not aggressively, but the spinning looks continuous. From what I've seen Tumbili tends to rock more than it spins, as if there's some friction or heaviness that make the seats struggle to spin. And I thought I heard they were going to upgrade the spin fins so that each side gets a balanced spin.

I don't believe so. Saturday's ride was the same as my last ride in October. First pass on the top is still the aggressive flip, second pass in the middle has one flip IIRC, and the the third pass is just rocking.
