Umm… where is the sign… it’s been over a year and no word on the sign at all?

Does it count that my official Tumbili drinkware has a sign 😁

Seriously though, as discussed on prior posts, I think if they were to add a sign, it would be to the same place that all the Six Flags 4D free spins have their signs (just like the glass pictured above):

But putting the sign there would be no easy undertaking.

So if they weren't able to do it during the past offseason - where of note, the park of course didn't have a true offseason, this year, like normal. And given the fact that we're about to head into full-week park operations, starting Memorial Day, chances are (unfortunately) slim that we'll be seeing a sign anytime soon... but that doesn't stop me from looking/hoping for one with every visit.

Another random thought regarding the Tumbili sign...

As mounting the sign to the coaster supports would likely need to be done, or at least inspected by S&S engineers - as if done incorrectly, could interfere with the coaster's safety and operation. Where the sign may not have been ready during Tumbili's original installation, when S&S was on-site.

So... maybe the park is just waiting on Tumbili's sign for when S&S comes back and installs an Axis coaster on Volcano's spot. (One can dream, right? 😉)

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I sorta hope they don’t install the big Tumbili sign on the coaster. I really like the way the coaster looks and how it blends into the area, and I think the addition of the sign might look tacky.

That said, the original renderings for Tumbili showed a smaller, ruins-style sign for Tumbili near the queue entrance, and I think it’s a shame we haven’t seen that one come into fruition. The only signage Tumbili has that even denotes its name is its safety guide sign, which is really bizarre how much other theming the ride has.

On Sunday they were not allowing you to choose the side you wanted to ride on, which really sucks. Seems like maybe they should just make both sides equally flippy (on average) if they are going to force you to one side or the other. Sucks to wait a long time and then get the side that doesn't flip. Plus what if you wanted the side that doesn't flip and are forced onto the side that does flip a lot? Seems equally bad.

^- I don't think I've ever gotten a no flipping ride, and almost always end up upside down at the bottom a raven turn even if just flip back. The back row always gets a flip straight off the top and that might have been the only flip once. Really I like it more with less flips but less when the second half is the mild part, as it tends to be. As far as I can tell, the same seat with the same load results in the exact same ride. The 4 rows, load in the row and also in the other 3, and wind affect the result.

I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this, but Tumbili finally has an entrance sign:

And since the poor coaster - that's right, coaster, not flat 😉 - has been waiting ever so patiently for its sign... a couple of dramatic lighting shots (after tonight's insane deluge), to celebrate the event:

Haven't seen it mentioned here in a while. Any clue when we could see the big signs on Tumbili itself? It's been 2 years... I'm starting to think that it's not happening

I wonder if this has any relevance to why Tumbili did not get a big sign. (Six Flags Mexico, picture taken last fall.)

The sign was removed from Wonder Woman, it is not the only S&S Freespin to loose its sign (I am too lazy to do the research to make a list.) To remove such a big sign is a major undertaking. There must be an issue with the mounting of the sign for it to be removed from such a new ride. Tumbili was originally supposed to open only twenty months after Wonder Woman.
EDIT: I should have captioned the above photo, I did not consider that the average reader is most likely not familiar with Six Flags Mexico.
The picture is of the Wonder Woman sign located behind the fence in the ride maintenance area. I estimate the sign is 12' x 18'.
My theory is that after issues developed with signs mounted to S&S freespins, Tumbili's ride mounted sign got cancelled.
