I'd like to just state that I firmly believe it is Intamin and have since doing all the early digging into shipping.

I'd just like to state that I want CP to take a page out of BG's book and base the name of their new ride after the name of a fan forum about the rumored attraction. Dragster 2: Electric Boogaloo (Sponsored by Tesla Motors) is a great name lol

Electric Boogaloo

Electromagnetic Boogaloo, thank you very much.

I was very proud of this thread title. 😋

As for @CoasterMac's excellent post, I feel like it has to be some variation of solution 1. The distance required for the pullout from the monumental spike I'm imagining would probably require it—especially if it's going to manage to fit under the existing canopy.

... I firmly believe it is Intamin...

I sure hope there's any noticable indication of what's going to happen when I go up there in a couple of months, but likely all they're going to do in the meantime is pour new footers and do whatever else they need to do outside of the construction fence, put Steel Dragon back together, and pretend it's a landscaping project until the official announcement... Which even then probably won't see an active work site until at least this fall if not winter.

No disrespect, but I've yet to see literally any evidence to prove Zamperla other than a comment about how their new train can go fast. I'll concede when I have something solid to see.

Until then, just let me live in my fantasy world of denial. I ❤️ Intamin. 🤣

I made no mention of Zamperla in my reply to you. Just a gif denying this being an Intamin project, which is info I got directly from one of their engineers.

As mentioned somewhere, you have a good track record of having reliable sources...

But that said, isn't Intamin a large enough company that engineers could be assigned to specific projects that may not know what's going on with others, or what other projects other teams are working on?

Alternatively, isn't it possible that since this renovation is being so closely scrutinized given that it was the company's first strata coaster and an icon of CP, which in itself is a world-renowned park for coasters, that the engineer is intentionally not being truthful to avoid sharing any details they may be aware of by shutting down any further questions that may come from indicating it's their company's project?

Just some thoughts, not saying I know anything different either way.

Certainly all possibilities @Jonesta6.

I just think that this is a situation where there's a lot of smoke so there's probably a fire. I haven't seen anyone with absolute proof in either direction, but I do think it's reasonable to believe it's probably not Intamin and probably Zamperla.

What makes this project even more interesting is that there's quite a few reputations on the line. A few "well-trusted" sources have implied it's Zamperla. Still nothing in the way of confirming either way.

I think it would make sense if Zamperla is responsible for the trains, at least. This isn't totally unheard of to have two manufacturers on a project, as RMCs first crack in the industry came with the help of Gerstlauer with their trains on New Texas Giant.

I also wouldn't be surprised if there's a dark horse manufacturer on this project that no one is mentioning, like Maurer Rides.

Could it possibly be Mack? I feel like if the new TTD will have a swing launch, Intamin and Mack are the ones who have mastered the swing launch so far.

Seeing a few new pictures of Dragster trains sitting out today. Also seeing someone claim to be an employee saying he was the one who packed the trains away last spring and that they've never left the peninsula aside from one of green's bogeys.

Does this mix with any other info we "know" to provide any new ideas?

These are not my pictures. Original post and discussion/claims about storage found here.

That was one of my thoughts as well, but then I keep coming back to thinking about how these were purposely kept around and kept in seemingly good shape.

Tons of questions, no answers.
