2025 is the right move. It would be a disaster for the ride to open and close again if everything wasn't just right.

It also gave Cedar Point another opportunity to throw shade at Zamperla, which they love to do.
The ball is firmly in Zamperla's court and there is nothing the park can do except fret. Could have said "the manufacturer" or "we" but would have only been less specific. It's not "shade" just simple facts, well maybe a little more pressure.

The willingness of parks to give up entire seasons rather than just keep trying is disappointing.

I think I asked this on reddit and not here, but if it's a dupe, apologies. How much of this issue is due to the change in the heartline? With the coaster throwing the trains outward on the drop as it spins, wouldn't that put a lot of stress on the wheels in a way they maybe hadn't expected? Though, not expecting that would be kind of wild. Also I never rode it, so I don't know how much of this effect there is.

Short answer is we those who know are not talking. My personal speculation has to do with the aluminum chassis. Aluminum fatigues and breaks very differently from steel.
The higher seats do cause pretty high forces in the former heartline, although the forces should not have been unexpected. With computer modeling, all of the forces should have been known ahead of time. If the issue was only due to the higher seats, I would have expected the ride would have been reopen already with the seat pedestal lowered.

IIRC, the aluminum monobody was one of the benefits that Zamperla was touting; since it was a single piece of aluminum, it would be cheaper in maintenance costs. Wonder if that's still going to be the case going forward. I've heard there has been additional bracing added, both to the body and the wheel bogeys. Making one of those train bodies cannot be cheap, either. Guessing TT2 has become a test bed for Zamperla's engineering department.

With my three rides during the previews you could definitely feel the difference from the original ride on the top hat. The original felt like a tight barrel roll (albeit vertically) on the way down whereas TT2 kind of threw you out of the seat as it spiraled. I wouldn't call it rough but it was a little uncomfortable on repeat rides.

While everyone is busy worrying about Kingda Ka, I have some news for TT2. Recent developments suggest that Cedar Point has lost all confidence in Zamperla and have sought out a 3rd (or 4th?) party to fix the issues with the ride. There is a chance that this ride never opens. To be clear, I am not saying it won't. What I am saying is that there is no current timeline for the issues the ride has to be fixed.

The directors of the firm hired to continue the credits after the other people had been sacked, wish it to be known that they have just been sacked. The credits have been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute.
