Facebook posters are not the same thing as GP. It is like the reviews on Amazon, Trip Advisor, etc. People who comment tend to be the minority who are especially and angry or happy. Your average consumer generally can't be bothered.

Posting here does not necessarily make you any smarter than the engineer who comes to the park once a year with his family and who probably understands how roller coasters function just fine.

"The GP," if y'all are going to insist on using that relatively meaningless phrase, is made up of idiots and geniuses, and you simply can't generalize from the subset of people who choose to post on Facebook to all park guests.

While you are very accurate Nic, I personally use the term GP to classify anyone with less than basic knowledge of the park. However, to try and please everyone I think I will just call the group, the LI, Lesser Informed. As it more accurately describes the group that we typically reference.

In honor of Nessie's 35th year, I present to you, BGW FANS, a gift from the Almighty chickenking...

I absolutely adore her! Interlocking loops, yellow curves, tunnel, roughness and all!!

BTW, the full high quality image (not pictured) is even more amazing!! How many of y'all have a new wallpaper now?

I'm new here, LOVE Nessie and want to find out what is the consensus about the loops. I have heard that they don't run a train through each loop simultaneously anymore. Could you all shed some light on my concern?

That's a shame. Nevertheless ,Nessie is still great as is. Last weekend the strobes in the cave were on but yesterday when I rode they were off. Are the strobes like Mach-Failure, in that they work 1 out of 10 times?

She can be a neck-sore for sure, especially coming out of the first loop. I find that sitting in the back is rougher overall , but the bumps you do hit are not bad. Likewise when I sit in the front, it is noticeable smoother overall , but the few bumps you do hit , you hit HARD! Is this just me, or do you all share a similar experience?

Well I go on LNM everytime I go, and from personal observations I've noticed that the strobes are always on, they are just very hard to see during the daytime, because your eyes are still adjusting in the tunnel. Since your eyes are already adjusted during the night, the strobes are easy to see, but none the less they are always on. You have to look for them during the day to actually see them, but trust me they are always on.

I noticed that when riding Nessie up the lift hill, certain cars on the train sound louder than the others. Are the chain dogs (correct me if I'm using the wrong name) only on every other car? Thus making a ride up on a car with a chain dog louder than one without. Is this all in my head or is it really happening?

The chain dogs are what attach to the chain, the anti-rollback system is the thing that makes the loud noise, and I believe that they are on every car, but they make sounds at different times. But I'm still pretty sure that they are on every car.

3rd, 5th, and final car, not all of them.

I knew I was right! Speaking of lifts, do you all think that the second lift is all that necessary? It kills the momentum you have coming out of the tunnel and half the time the train will fly halfway up the lift before stopping. If the hill after the cave was removed and the track was then connected to the final right turn before the loop, could she make it through? If not, would disabling the brake run before the cave help?
