and it undoubtedly is the highest in maintenance cost for the coasters to keep running.

Um... I may not be right either, but I'm pretty sure LNM is one of the lowest money consuming roller coasters in the park. LNM does not break down as much as other coasters in the park do.( I'm looking at you Griffon & Verbolten.) Plus LNM hardly requires as much care as all the other coasters. Plus they barely have to pay any money to operate the ride, compared to all the other coasters in the park, LNM is the cheapest to operate. Imagine how much one single launch could cost on Verbolten, that is nothing compared to the money it costs to operate 2 small and mid-sized basic lift chains. So if any coaster was going to go, because it cost too much to operate than it would be either Griffon, or Verbolten, definitely not LNM.

^I doubt Verbolten would go anytime soon because of the money that they put into that ride. Also, LNM has to operate a couple of brake runs (on on the hill towards the first loop, the one before the cave, and the end).

Arrow Dynamics coasters have a shockingly high amount of strain on the tracks and trains due to how unfriendly Arrow's design process and engineering was. Not saying that Nessie requires maintenance on the scale of something like Top Thrill Dragster or Intimidator 305, but it's definitely a lot more than what you think.

I'd be happy if they'd just bring back the head for the topiary that is already there! Look beside the station, on the train track side. They left the body (loops) and the tail, but cut down the head a few years ago.
I looked all around for this thing and couldn't find it. Now I admit that I am getting older and it's possible I missed them somehow, but how long ago did you see these loops & tail? Help!!

Okay I don't know if it is just the bad quality of the pictures I've seen, but back in the day was one of the LNM trains black? Not completely black, it still had the yellow and orange at the bottom of it, but I see a lot of pictures where it looks like one of the trains is black, and then I see a picture where one looks green, so was only one of them black? Or were they all black? Or were they all green? Does anybody remember?

This isn't the smaller topiary pictured earlier in this thread, this is a VERY large one against the queue house. Basically, between the entrance to the queue and the exit of the ride. I'll be up there this week, will try to grab a picture.

No it's the garden right beside the train tracks, on the other side that LNM's entrance is. In between the train tracks and that gazebo with the lockers and tables under it.

OK, is this it?

The Loch Ness Monster topiary.

There is a shape here, but it doesn't really look like much to me. I hope it looked better in the past. Someone said the head was decapitated. I take it the head was on the end nearest the queue entrance?

That's the one. The loops used to be much more clearly defined, and yes, the head was toward the queue entrance. No clue why it was decapitated, especially with the rest still there.

Not only that, but where are the official Loch Ness Monster 35th anniversary photos??? It makes me very sad that after such a fun day, with a official park photographer documenting the event, that not "ONE" photo has been posted yet. :(

I don't know if it really matters to you guys since most of you are only on Facebook, but they did post 2 pictures on Instagram, one of the train going down the drop, and one of the train coming out of the loop. I noticed you guys were mostly in the front of the train.

Look what's on Instagram:

Loch Ness Monster 35th Anniversary - pictures!!

Instagram. Based on the other images on their page, they use filters on everything to make them look aged or artsy or something.

Would love to see the originals and the one from the train station and everything else we did that day.

Those are some BGW Fans heavy hitters in the front!!
