A segment of track still lives in the Project Purple construction zone. Kind of surreal being able to see what was and what will be in the same picture...

Personally I haven't made 9/11 comparisons yet, but this state is riddled with twisted WTC steel beams rising out of random fields as municipal/county/state memorials. As far as a big building collapse and the visual parallels in memorializing, they have a fine line to walk !

I’ve been sitting here thinking about what the hell he could possibly be protesting for like the past hour. I’m just imagining a lone person standing in front of the entrance sign on 537 looking INCREDIBLY upset, occasionally yelling something incoherent about hydraulic launches.

Like the time has long since past. The replacement is actively nearing the end of construction, what is the end goal? Lmao

as far as timing goes need I remind u all there WAS no opportunity to protest before?? maybe this is cathartic for my fellow mentally ill friends
There was enough time for me to hear the rumors of its demise and make a trip to the park for the sole purpose of getting some final rides on it; there was enough time for others to hear the rumors and stage a protest. There was also time after the closure was obvious, or announced, before the actual demolition took place.
