I feel like this rumor pops up every so often - though to be fair, as far as I remember, the source(s) have also never had this large a following (if a closure is indeed what was implied in the video). Someday, somebody is going to be right about it.
I hope that someday is still a ways off. Given the crazy amount of upkeep required and funds that could be allocated toward improvements elsewhere, I'm definitely thinking with my heart instead of my head here, but losing Ka (and Zumanjaro in the process) would hurt. A lot. I know it's often referred to as a one trick pony and enthusiasts frequently don't feel the need to ride it more than once, but that doesn't stop this from being my favorite roller coaster on the planet. The whole TT2 saga (even if everything had worked perfectly) solidified that further for me this year. Closed-minded as the statement may be, for me, nothing will ever beat the punch of a front row hydraulic launch, not even a 100+ MPH backward ascension up a spike.
I'd like to believe at least retaining the North American records for height and speed is in some way meaningful to the Six Flags chain.
