So I checked out Passing Zone with my family yesterday to escape the heat and I thought it was a pretty entertaining 30 minutes. They did try to sell some DVDs at the end for $20 which I didn't see anyone bite on, but they also claimed they would have some different acts during other shows. Very funny, some audience volunteers and some great juggling stunts. Curious about everyone else's thoughts.
So, I loved the show. I thought it was excellent. Their comedy was right up my alley. The length was perfect. Really stellar showmen.
As mentioned earlier, they're doing variations on each set. Since It sounded like almost all parts switch out I did want to share something interesting from the set I saw.
They're going to be on Penn and Teller: fool us.
They came up with a magic trick to go along with their comedy/juggling and it's actually pretty good!.
They said the episode will air on 19-August and re-air a week later.
For the record: I suspect they did not fool Penn and Teller. Having seen the show a few times before I think they will say they love the comedy and presentation. But at the end of the day it'll be a unique take on a trick they know the mechanics of. That's my guess.
If anyone is interested, but can't make it out to see them - or didn't get that act in their show - I did film that segment.
I'll be uploading it to YouTube but only sharing privately. While there were no signs/disclaimers that recordings weren't allowed, I just don't think it's appropriate to post their content publically.. just my personal view on the matter.
P.s. I'm also 99% sure I understand the basic mechanics of their trick. The presentation is lovely though and I, by no means, have the juggling skill to pull it off.
