So I checked out Passing Zone with my family yesterday to escape the heat and I thought it was a pretty entertaining 30 minutes. They did try to sell some DVDs at the end for $20 which I didn't see anyone bite on, but they also claimed they would have some different acts during other shows. Very funny, some audience volunteers and some great juggling stunts. Curious about everyone else's thoughts.

Glad to hear that it a full length show. I saw Buggy storm last week and it was like a 15 minute show. Disappointing to wait long to get into the show then the show it's self.

Is Busch Gardens selling the merch on the performers behalf? Or are they allowing the performer themselves to sell merch?

Basically, does mambership discount apply? And can we use the $10 Busch gardens bucks to offset the cost?

They're literally subwoofers that fire fog rings with their percussion.

Hopefully they're bringing it along to BGW...

I’ve never had a problem with the music...granted I enjoy EDM and listen to said genre a lot. I do agree the park should play normal hamlet music to a certain time then switch over. I do like the high energy music though, sets a “fun” mood to me. Just my 2 cents.

So, I loved the show. I thought it was excellent. Their comedy was right up my alley. The length was perfect. Really stellar showmen.

As mentioned earlier, they're doing variations on each set. Since It sounded like almost all parts switch out I did want to share something interesting from the set I saw.

They're going to be on Penn and Teller: fool us.

They came up with a magic trick to go along with their comedy/juggling and it's actually pretty good!.

They said the episode will air on 19-August and re-air a week later.

For the record: I suspect they did not fool Penn and Teller. Having seen the show a few times before I think they will say they love the comedy and presentation. But at the end of the day it'll be a unique take on a trick they know the mechanics of. That's my guess.

If anyone is interested, but can't make it out to see them - or didn't get that act in their show - I did film that segment.

I'll be uploading it to YouTube but only sharing privately. While there were no signs/disclaimers that recordings weren't allowed, I just don't think it's appropriate to post their content publically.. just my personal view on the matter.

P.s. I'm also 99% sure I understand the basic mechanics of their trick. The presentation is lovely though and I, by no means, have the juggling skill to pull it off.

Some pictures of William Close & The Earth Harp. Interesting and enjoyable show. The drum jacket he created is different.

Saw Fighting Gravity a couple nights ago.....was probably the worst show at BGW in history. The actual show wasnt anything special and felt like a high school talent show. It also was not designed for the Globe, I think it would work better in a narrow deep theater but not one that is really wide and not deep. We sat on the left hand side of the stage and none of the tricks lined up, we could see the actors shadows against the effects as well as those standing just off stage in the blacklight clothing. The part where they went behind the black curtain to disappear they didnt dissapear for us they were just hunched down on stage. Beside the efects not lining up and seeing the actors the show was just boring. As always this was my opinion and opinions vary.

I actually came away with the same thoughts. The act was mediocre at best and the actual performance was not good at all in my honest opinion. There were a few moments I thought were clever... But after a minute or so, even those got super stale.

Overall, in my opinion, it's not a good performance, it's not a good fit for the venue, it goes on way too long, and it's just not a good use of my BGW time. ?

I thought Fighting Gravity was the band from Richmond VA. Glad I read these posts.
Yeah..

But if I remember right, the members of this fighting gravity all went to tech in Blacksburg.
