I guess the park made more money on cocktails and hot dogs than we thought to cover the nightly firework show cost.

I hate to be the only person with a positive about Porno Nights 2014, but I enjoyed having an extra draft beer choice or two in San Marco and the fireworks included a couple of effects I had never seen.

Sounds like Porno Nights 2015 is happening. Any ideas to improve it besides 86 the boiled dogs?

I had the same difficulty, Nicole. Not sure how it would work, but there are a growing number of craft brewers in the area. It would be nice if they could partner with the park. This would be a better component of Food and Wine Festival than Porno Nights though.

How about turning the music down and/or moving the ginormous speakers off the pathways. There were many times last year that I had to wgalk away from an area because I could not hear what people in my group were saying.

Don't worry Nicole and Geo, I'm sure your idea for improvement will be the first on the park's list, because as we've seen at HOS, more booze fixes everything.

Good point Nicole. Weekday early closings would have the display at 8:30 or so and there is still daylight in the sky. By not having fireworks during the week like last year, the event may be significantly cheaper for the park this year even with the 'expansion'. Professional fireworks usually average $800-$900 per minute.

A night time show in the Teatro about the history of music in America with a live band that would show twice a night would be an awesome addition in my opinion. I love watching a show in the Teatro with the nice summer breeze coming through, reminds me of the Monster Stomp days in the Canadian Palladium. I imagine it wouldn't cost that much and could probably use the same muscians used in Mix it Up.

There is no way that them keeping around Porno Nights had anything to do with CW.

I was asking if anyone could think of a way that a CW partnership could improve the summer event. BGW was trying to tie the 2014 event to American history or Americana, or porno -- I'm not sure.
