Oh, that's better than it going in the middle of San Marco, it's not going to be on top of something beautiful. I hate the sundial anyway.

I was in the park earlier today. Entertainment dept. looks to have started to set up speaker mounts on San Marcos bridge and pre-wiring everything. It could be what was seen yesterday by festa italia bridge.

the sky ride from Germany to England could be called the V2!
The Part of Germany could be set ablaze and renamed Dresden!

Remember a few years ago back at HOS when they had the statues in the Gardens that would stand still then pop out at you. Back then the park could make everything fit into the country it was meant to be themed to. I wish the park could do an event that embraced the European countries with shows and actors that go with each country. They could still have the fireworks but what is Busch Gardens known for: Beauty! They could have signs up about the type of plants with landscapers teaching you how to care for them, the right settings, and maybe you could buy some.

Is anyone actually excited for Americana Star Spangled Nights? I'm genuinely curious.

Kind of excited about that up close eagle photo op and a mini statue of liberty. Other than that, meh. I don't usually go much in the summer anyways.

This is just one of 64 sheets that are going to help theme the event.

It seems like the park has outsourced their sign shop to Keith Fabry Reprographic Solutions. They also did the London Rocks! sign outside the theater and the new Squires Grille menu.

Out of curiosity what were everyone's expectations?

Personally, I expected large red, white, and blue signage and decor, maybe not exactly like the one pictured, but I still expected something like it.

Red, white and blue disco bugs? The purple thing making it's return in a new red, white and blue paint scheme. Red, white and blue glow stands. Red, white and blue garland on top of Killarney crossing. A new show called 'Redneck Rambling,' with a simple set of lawn chairs, red plastic cups, and some beers.

Jokes aside, I was expecting a lot worse. But just because it's less tacky than I originally thought doesn't make it a good event in the least. It still doesn't match the theme, and the theming will be out of place in the park hamlets, period.

Ooooh, here's an idea! What if they did an event celebrating Europe? Wait...no...that makes absolutely no sense.

They tried that, people mocked it and hated it. Now we have to settle for an American pride event.

I am truly interested in how the 64 pieces will be used.

BTW, there will be a red, white, and blue glow stand. It has actually already been finished and is sitting waiting to be put in place. The only issue was it was accidentally broken, not too noticeably or bad. They took the glow stand from Ports of skull, covered the bamboo poles with a metal sheeting, repainted it red, white, and blue, and there you have it.

Illuminights celebrated the cultures of through each of its shows. Ireland had fairytale storytelling about leprechauns, France used to have a great parade and Germany had a Cuckoo clock. Yes they weren't perfect but they highlighted certain aspects of different cultures. Then year after year, it progressively steered away from that. Last year it was more about how do they incorporate a more garden theme to coexist with the new brand image, garden bugs and creatures.

The shows weren't as stereotypical when it first started. They simply went worse.
