How I picture @Zachary showing up with this yet again with BGW's prizes and them knowing who he is:

Sorry we missed you Zachary. I hope nobody minds but I'm going to be a little literary here.

My wife and I visited BGW tonight for the first time in something like 14 months. Due to medical reasons we stayed away. As of this past Saturday we reached our 2 weeks on the second shot and we can say we are fully vaccinated. I guess the 3 negatives we noticed were the lack of places to eat, the quality of food they did have and the lack of open rides. Although I am 70 years old now and don't ride I didn't see a whole lot running. The steak slider is more like a sub sandwich and it was awful. The meat was tough and I think there was more fat than meat. I wouldn't get it nor would I recommend it. We were surprised the corned beef and cabbage they advertised was not available at the Festhaus. Apparently the only place you can get it is at Grogan's where there is no place to sit down and eat it. I guess that made sense to somebody. And just as you had said Nicole; we had problems with recognizing our dining plan. Took a supervisor to resolve and now they take pictures of your card and they actually had a list of people on the dining plan. Really slows down the process.

I want to thank Zachary for recommending the hybrid Celtic Fire show at the Festhaus. It is well worth seeing. Might even be worth going back to see it again. Thanks to Nicole for the pictures of the Brauhaus. Very helpful. Just to add to the Brauhaus experience they now serve the beer in plastic cups. If you are a stein club member and want your stein you can still get it and pour your beer into it. Not sure why you'd want to though. Big thing is to get the stein refill price though.

As far as masks and social distancing we didn't really see any problems. Sure, people were eating and drinking without a mask but that is to be expected. As far as social distancing you kind of had to be observant and distance yourself. I don't know why but twice this one guy insisted on physically running into me at different places and times. Same guy for sure because of what he was wearing.

I guess in summary I'd just say it was good to go back and just be outside. Would we go back? Sure. We know what to expect and what changes have been made so we can plan a little better about what to do and where to go.

I, for one, thoroughly enjoy the Twitter real time updates. For instance on Saturday (member day) I glanced at my phone leaving the restroom and saw a BGWFans twitter notification "just announced that Alpengeist is opening today!" and boom we were on Alpengeist in 5 minutes. I'm not checking Instagram while at the park that often, if at all.

Tweets make a fast, easy, simple form of communication. Also for as much as BGWFans tweets quality info, you have to take into account there might not always be a photo to go along with every tweet.

EDIT: Also, yesterday, after the first 2 shamrocks were found, my girlfriend and I were still searching for the final one, and then saw through Twitter that BGWFans themselves found the 3rd and final shamrock! (Congrats btw). So we were able to accept defeat, end our search, and hit Apollo's instead of looking around for another hour for something we wouldn't have known was found.
I searched Festa, Italy, Oktoberfest, and was late to the one in New France. And I was with the social media leader for BGW when I told him @Zachary found the last one.

Oh that's awesome dude! It was a fun time nonetheless! I literally looked in Ireland in those bushes at like 3:50-4:00ish, didn't see anything, and kept going. Would have found the shamrock on the Festa bridge hidden in the flowerpots but lost by 2 or 3 seconds haha the woman who found it in front of me said she has been to many of the scavenger events and never won so I felt she deserved it.

Yeah!! And I knew in a previous scavenger hunt they had hid the prize there so I was running directly there after searching Ireland>Germany>Italy. It was in the hanging flower pots on the side of the bridge; more specifically, the middle section facing Pantheon.
