Then there's also the fact that this ride hardware (the track and trains) are noticeably larger than what's found on Pantheon, playing into just how insane the scale of this ride is. A smaller piece of the puzzle, IMO.

I suspect this was literally the very first cycle that they launch it fully over the Arch. You can see the recovery/relaunch sequence at 2:12 in that video, where they start swing-launching it up the Arch, then backwards up the cliff drop, then once again up and over the arch. I think that's where the clip at 1:19 begins, and explains why the drop appears slower than what you'd expect (because it is, it's not dropping from the full height). Once it starts full circuit, uninterrupted cycle testing, I assume everything will get faster & break in a bit.why does the drop look..slow?
