Considering those decks are anchored to the nearest pathway's foundation, and the most they have in the ground below is a pillar which isn't usually affected by tree roots, I'd have to say no. If anything it acted as an extra support to the deck area.

None the less, it was a representation that the park used to care about keeping every tree they possibly could.

I did say there was more coming! I'm excited to announce a main site post was created encompassing this whole series! Links to every single post in the series are included, along with a write-up by your's truly. I hope you enjoy it!

Shrubbery at Christmas Town: Part 1

Well it's that time of year, the leaves are falling(have fallen), people are hunkering in for a cold Winter to come, just waiting for everything in their yard shrubbery to go dormant, and get covered in snow a couple times(or more). So you ask me "What's up with the title of this post Matthew?"

So you see, even though the park's landscaping department is preparing for Winter grooming, consisting of topping off some of their Crape Myrtles, cutting back their garden grasses, cutting down Hydrangeas, and much more to prepare them for the growing season of Spring and Summer, the park is still busy at work preparing the park's flowers, and other unique concoctions for Christmas Town. Even though it's nearly winter and the growing season is thought to be over, the park still manages to grow and maintain flowers in their park. Not only this, but the park creates unique creations, mostly in their pots, from trimmings of some of the things like the ones I mentioned above, and including other things like evergreen trimmings, holly and some growing flowers mixed in here and there to create festive holiday creations complimenting the decor at Christmas Town.

The Flowers inside the park also compliment the surrounding decorations. For example, in San Marco where the primary colors are gold and white, they planted mainly yellow and white flowers. In More colorful areas like the North Pole(Rhinefeld) and Aquitaine they plant burgundies, purples, blues, and pinks. In Killarney, they plant orange and yellow flowers. In Most other areas though, the primary color is white, to embrace the winter theme and all. Most of the flowers planted consist of Pansies, Violas, and many other spring/winter flowers. The thing about these flowers is that they are very specific to Christmas Town, most of the flowers you see now will not be carried into the main season. They will be taken out and replaced with main-season specific flowers. So let's see that's 1, 2, 3, 4, oh yeah, four yearly rotations.

This fairly short series will just consist of pictures of the flowers and other shrubbery from Christmas Town. The length of the series is un-known at this moment, it all depends on the number of pictures I'm able to compile. The Pictures will be hidden under spoiler tags. Here's a small glimpse from this weekend of what is to come in this series, enjoy!:

Unfortunately, the Landscape Life tour has been discontinued for the 2015 season.(budget cuts, no doubt) However if you're still interested in getting behind the scenes access to other landscaping things, the Christmas Town Decoration tour is scheduled to continue this season.

Just because I know you all are just dying to see more pictures of shrubbery, and for further demonstration of Flickr embedding, here are two sets of around 45 pictures total, showing off some of the beautiful shrubbery that can be found at the park this spring. Enjoy!
