Yes, hoping this isn't just a temporary fix for the 50th
Wait a minute....they brought that back for the Food & Wine Festival in 2022 and '23. Edit: do you know if New France is playing Brazilian music? If so, that likely means this is just for the festival. But I do wish the Echoes of Italy would be brought back to stay.

That was for the planned return of Les Mans Raceway to be put in San Marco for 2026 originally. But due to not finding a manufacturer for a new antique cars ride, they shelved it in favor of Verbolten: Forbidden Turn.
This just got approved with conditions and they have until june 11th 2027 to begin construction. I think something big might be coming

Yeah, this is a nothing burger for now.

JCC just synced up their document record for the old "Italian Le Mans" Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area waiver recently. Reading through the recently uploaded docs, the closing out of the permit happened nearly a year ago on the Chesapeake Bay Board's side—JCC is just now getting all of that information fed into their public-facing database. I don't see any evidence of action on this permit from the park or its representatives within the last—roughly—year.

It is interesting that before seemingly abandoning the project, BGW seems to have been granted that extension to June 11th, 2027 vs the original start of construction expiration date in 2026, but this matches with how we saw the park handle Drachen Spire—if plans fall through, extend all of your previous approvals out as far as possible to keep your options open—even if, realistically, a change in course is very unlikely.

That being said, as I've long highlighted, good ideas never really die inside these parks. A lot of folks—myself included—definitely think/thought "Italian Le Mans" was a great idea. Should a suitable manufacturer show up, appropriate funding materialize, and a slot open up in BGW's addition schedule in the years ahead, I will not be surprised to see this plan or something similar resurrected. Just don't see any evidence for it happening anytime soon is all.

Wasn’t Project Madrid’s height waiver used for Pantheon and Drachen Spire’s used for The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge of am I remembering incorrectly?
Not sure. I was talking more just in general for other projects as well. Housing developments etc.
