They could certainly make it nicer, but not until they get rid of Europe in the air.

Festa as a whole needs an upgrade more than anything in the park. Ride revamping would be great as well. I could see improving RR fairly easily.
^ That's key. Roman Rapids has the best theming of all the rides in Festa. No need to touch Roman Rapids till you clean up the rest of that disaster.
I always get the feeling festa was a rushed concept, just for how bad the themeing is compared to the rest of the park
I rode Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges last week at Islands of Adventure. The themeing on it is leagues above Roman Rapids.Also, there's no waterfall that gets you soaked every time, so it leaves the mystery aspect that Roman Rapids is void of because of that stupid waterfall. So if they just got rid of the waterfall and added more small effects, while also adding a better theme, it'd be a much better experience.

So, we rode RR a couple weeks ago, and it was HORRIBLE! The only reason we got we was because we got the waterfall side. The sprayers barely got us and the rapids were very wimpy. We rode RR a couple years ago, and we got soaked, not just because of the waterfalls. They REALLY need to fix up this ride! Maybe add a bit more theming, add some walls to cover up those ugly water pipes, add stronger rapids and more water elements, and they could have a star attraction.
Yeah I went on RR yesterday, and got drenched! There were no real rapids that got us wet but stupid waterfalls! They need to decrease the water from the waterfalls and add more rapids! I was forced for the rest of the day to walk in soaked shoes and have prunny feet. :/

Actually, Keds and Preferred Parking for me. Walking all over the park in flip flips would just give me blisters, and I wouldn't want to get my nice sandals wet. Plus sneakers are easier on the coasters.

The park just needs to change everything. Add more water effect! The only water effect that gets you wet is the waterfall, and that only get one side of the car! The sprayers don't do anything and the rapids are more like someone washing dishes than a kid playing in a bathtub. (Sorry, I had to do a real life comaprison. ) Add more themeing!the only way that you can tell that it is a roman themed ride is the sign out front, a couple of statures here and there, and the waterfall background, other than that, there is NO THEMEING! The park should add a ton of ruins, a ton of broken statues [safely] in the water, a ton of non-broken statues outside the water, add so much themeing that it starts getting annoying, like Verbolten.

The last few times I rode Roman Rapids I had on a pair of speedo water shoes. After I got off I just took them off and threw my socks and Nike's back on!

I always thought they should've replicated the Trevi Fountains on a smaller scale!
^That kind of themeing would be amazing. They could have it be a fountain, and as you go past it, it shoots water at you from secret places. All the ride needs is a little imagination, which, sadly, is hard to find at the park now-a-days.
I don't ride RR that much anymore. It's a sad rapids ride. The last few times I went on was just to accompany kids. When they initially announced it I thought they would outdo White Water Canyon at KD for an overall ride experience and that didn't happen.
