I like the idea, doglover98, but if they can barely keep a theme, it will be hard for than to add a hill. I would like a hill, but fix the themeing first.

They need a lot more theming on that ride. Something that would get everyone a garunteed soaking is of they had arches or something, with water curtains. The raft would go straight through the center, making everyone soaked.

Since when does anybody get off Rapids dry? You either get drenched or really wet. At least every time I've ridden with friends/family. Even if you don't get the waterfall side, you're still getting wet.

I have ridden ths ride many times without getting wet at all! Ok, I get a little wet, but not enough to cool me down. Sometimes I get off the ride and you can't even tell that I just rode the ride. They need to add arches and such as mentioned by Swimmygirl23, something can will get you wet for sure.

Honestly, I think the entire problem with Roman Rapids is that the only real means of getting wet is the gigantic waterfalls, which pretty much do soak you every time. What we've said is that they get rid of the whole mystery of the ride, because you know you'll get hit by the stupid waterfalls. On the other hand, rapids rides such as White Water Canyon at KD and Popeye at IOA are both great because they use a variety of effects (big rapids, jets, spitting statues, leaky pipes, cannons, fountains, sprayers) instead of just one big, plain effect to soak you in one way or another totally different way. This is where Roman Rapids fails.

Of course, adding theming would be a great and relatively easy fix. That is, if the park weren't lazy enough to do it.

I asked yesterday and was told they were off because of the weather flip-flopping; also the ride was shut down yesterday due to a sprinkler head busting...it was like a geyser!

Any one know why the waterfall is still down?

Has there been any update on the waterfalls? When I was there on the 7th they said the falls were down because of the season. That was obviously untrue so I asked a second employee who said the park was waiting for a part. Have the falls been fixed yet or do we know when they may be operational again?

They were down this most recent weekend of the 14th. I rode it, and came off refreshed, not completely soaked to a point I didn't feel like moving.
