Where the hell did THIS go? I just saw it on Google Maps.

Sucks, yes? I think just before or right when they added the bridge "improvements". We certainly miss it. (And hate the "improvements".)

Where exactly is that on Google Maps ~ where did you go/click/etc.?

If you mean Neptune himself, the bridge between the foot of Nessie and the river cruises. More toward Nessie. As I recall you can still see the lights in the water, tho harder with the extra rails in the way. Wasn't there a fountain of some sort? At one time, also?

The picture belongs to photographer Bill Rogerson.

The Neptune statue current whereabouts are unknown- but the fountain's pipes look to still be under water however, a pelican wooden statue is currently perched on top (fountain is not operating).

The location was closer to the Rhine River Boat Cruise than Nessie's loops and was located on the same side as the sign that says "Grimm's Landing".

Guest pick up?

We are headed to BG later this week and I have a friend who lives nearby who would like to pick me up at the park one night for dinner while my family stays. Will they allow her in the gate to come get me? Is there a certain area I have to go to? Thank you!

RE: Guest pick up?

From what I remember, the person picking up just says she is picking up/dropping someone off and they give her a specific placard to hang on the rear view mirror. Then, the parking lot attendants will direct them right to where the ticket booths are. Hope that helps you!

RE: Guest pick up?

There is a turnaround in the France Parking Lot just by the ticket booths.

The actual turnaround is blocked off by cones due to the high amount of traffic, cars are not allowed to idle or park there. With that said, they just let the toll plaza team member know they are picking up or dropping off and they will receive a hangtag.

From the toll plaza they go straight to the France parking lot, where they can park in a handicapped parking spot or in the rear of the parking lot until you are present at the turnaround.

Then they can stop at the turnaround to pick up up or drop you off and then exit through the toll plaza.

Alright, so I was planning to visit the park tomorrow as it's the last day i can go to the park till HOS. HOWEVER, I just realized the Bridget Mendler concert is tomorrow.Has anyone been to concert days like this? I dont plan on going to the concert, just wanna ride rides and stuff, how crowded will the park be during the day compared to HOS saturdays? I'm willing to wait 20-30 minutes for rides( and 45-60 for Vbolt) but if there are 60-90 min waits for everything, I may have to bail.

I don't think the concert has too much of an effect on the park, most the people will come get their free tickets, leave and come back later in the day, you might see slightly increased line during the morning for those who do stay, but lines should drop noticeably starting around 5pm but definitely by 6:30pm.
