By direction of Gavin (thanks for the advice) I am relocating this question, so does Busch still do the nighttime coaster tours?

Then you have not ridden it at it's best. :)
I swear that ride is made for the night. The whole sensation of the 2nd launch into the darkness surrounded by the trees is just incredible.

The best part is when you freefall drop all you see is darkness, Does anyone know if the headlights are on in the event building

When they were testing the blue train they tested the lights on while in the building and it messed with the effects and such so then the next session of soft openings they tested it so they turned off entering the building then turned off exiting.

Here's a question:

Why does everyone care so damn much about these headlights?

Here's a answer:

Because it is the only aspect of the ride that is not up to par. All trains are operational, no major downtime anymore, on ride video is operational; the last thing missing is the headlights! This could be a very crucial effect for the overall ride of the coaster at night time.

P.S. At least we got over the floating footers :p

Just like real vehicles, the emblems vary model to model. Good change of pace between vehicles.

Having ridden in the front row with the headlights on, I've found that the headlights are really just there for show, nothing more. The ride feels exactly the same with the lights on and off. The only difference is that you can see a bit of track in front of you.

It would be cool to see the headlights diving toward the water though.

I rather liked it, the headlights have a really neat effect going from the event to the bridge, then going through the forest after the drop. It's very unique and think the park should get it back up.

Just wanted to say how much this site gives me a little piece of home when i cant be there, so much so that i wanted to donate and did. Only question is how is one to know that it was received?
