It is the last day of 'military days' at KD. This is free admission for past and present service men and women. I'm sure it will add to the holiday crowd. Not sure about BG.

Maybe not so important to everyone but thanks for saying "men and women". In this moment when transgendered people are being included in the military I appreciate that. I'm a gay man and I really respect people who remember to thank people of all walks for what they do and who they are.

I just booked the new Holiday Decoration Creation tour for 1:00pm on what is probably going to be an extremely busy Sunday.  The online description states, "Exclusive parking in the Team Member parking lot for the duration of your tour".

While on the phone with customer service the representative read me additional information not posted on the website:  after the tour ends at 3:00pm we will be required to take our greenery creations to the car and exit the lot.  Understandable for the 9:00am tour but we had planned to visit the park afterwards.  I got the impression we would have to leave the parking lot and return into the main gate.  What?

Years ago we did the Penguin Tour which started before the park opened but ended during operating hours.  We were escorted to the entrance to scan our tickets and be on our merry way.  No moving of cars involved but we were not parked in the Team Member lot either.

Is this a new thing parking early tours in the Team Member lot and making you exit the park and parking lot completely?

I was so excited about this but now I am seriously thinking about canceling.  I am bringing a group of friends who have never been to BGW.  Part of the trip was to actually visit the park too.  I don't want to risk not being able to enter the park due to traffic and capacity issues.

Anyone have any advice or knowledge?  Thanks.

By the way this is the description for Santa's Fireside Feast:
• 1:30 p.m. reservations will enjoy early entry into the park.
It does not state where they park you though.

I did the Penguin tour in both 2013 and 2014.  In both cases they had us park in the England lot next to the back entrance and then told us move our cars afterward.  Because I am a Platinum Pass holder, I simply exited and then re-entered the England lot.  It actually gave me the opportunity to move my car closer to the main entrance.

For what it is worth, in my experience the parking lots aren't too bad until later in the day regardless.

Thanks for the quick response.

Parking near the greenhouses does make sense.  That would be a chore all of us lugging our greenery creations through a crowded park.

We are season pass holders but not Platinum.    Would I still be able to get into the England lot since I was already on the property?

I am just trying to decide if it is worth the gamble of being unable to get back into the park.   We are going December 6 so judging from comments about that day last year looks like it could be trouble.

Plus we have had some bad experiences with parking  over the years (coaster and insider tours) that have made us wary.  (Tours were fantastic though!)

You should be fine. Just as your exiting the employee lot, turn right like Thomas said. Nobody should question you, especially since there is no preferred parking during CT. There's no way that the parking lot will be so crowded enough that you wouldn't even be able to find a parking space.

Can platinum passholders use the employee/england entrance for Christmastown this year? Last year, I heard others were able to make it in, but it seemed every time I went, I was turned away.

Also if there is not a lot of people in the park they'll just bring everyone in and put them there before using up the other parking sections. It's how it was when we wen't up Thursday.

Anyone try Quick Pay?

When I purchased something online, it said something about saving my card info for Quick Pay, and the balloon said I could, essentially, use my annual pass as my cashless wristband. After I got my purchase confirmation, there was a link to sign up for Quick Pay, but the link appears dead. Any ideas?

Also, I bought some fun cards for those of us going without annual passes. Do I need to print all the vouchers out, or just one of them, as I purchased them in the same order?

Thanks.

Question: Now that they have dining deals instead of dining certificates, what is the difference between a snack and a "side or dessert"? What qualifies as a snack?

Is summer nights worth it? Or should I hold off and go in late August for Bier Fest and maybe catch a glimpse of initial Howl-O-Scream setup, since I am a huge Halloween junkie?
