He’s estimating a capacity of about 920 pph based on a 77 second ride interval (60 second animation + 17 seconds for comparable transfer tracks). If that’s true then it puts it right in line with Top Thrill 2 and post 2010 Kingda Ka (after they stopped using all of the stations). Still not the best capacity for a start attraction like this but definitely better than I would’ve expected.

That’s assuming ride ops can consistently load and clear in under 60 seconds, which I’m not sure about on this ride tbh. Need a very clearly outlined and streamlined boarding process with groups rather than a free for all with individual row lines. I actually think a short preshow would do wonders for the boarding process, even if some enthusiasts don’t like them (which is lame).

I’d go regular line -> preshow grouping -> ride lockers -> preshow -> station cattle pen -> row assignments -> boarding

You could even have the preshow serve as the locker room, too. Schwur des Kärnan does that, with the preshow video directly prompting you to place all loose articles and backpacks in a bin that opens from the wall in front of you. The exit passes behind that same wall, where the bins open back up. There’s like 4 different bin sections that open in cycles, it works really well and is theft-proof.

I know I keep bringing up Kärnan in this thread, but it’s genuinely the best queue I’ve probably ever experienced for a massive coaster with all of the regular concerns that would come with that. And Hansa Park is likely operating on much more of a budget than SFGrAdv

Coliwood seems to think the park's first train will feature teal/green trains as shown in the promo video. I think there could be truth to that as the train displayed onsite is train 2 and also features a slightly different lighter purple than the base of the car. I also just like the way the teal trains contrast with the purple track, so I've got a bit of a bias. Do you think Ryan E may be entrusting Coliwood with some additional insider information?

I think Colin might be assuming this or reading into the ride cgi videos that have green cars, or just talking out of his butt. Park President Mike was on camera with ElToroRyan on Tuesday and Ryan asked this exact question -- will the trains be different colors? Mike's answer was, "Um, I don't believe so, no. No."

I really think this depends on if this ride has the restraint system where the restraints lower on their own and the ops don’t need to physically check riders. If it does I definitely think 60 second load times can happen. If not…..I don’t think it’s impossible but probably not likely to happen at a consistent rate. Aquaman at over texas has it, it’s definitely on the table

From what I've read and heard specifically about Mack and this ride, the restraint system does its own thing and the ops don't have to check everyone's restraints once it's locked in position. The ride does its own checks to verify the restraints are locked down.

Pretty sure this is how Time Traveller is at SDC too. I don't recall anyone checking anything.

Obviously we won't know until the coaster opens, but this seems crazy ambitious as it would require unloading and loading the train in the 60 seconds it takes for the other one to cycle. Last time I visited Silver Dollar City, I clocked them at a 1:45 interval on Time Traveler with two trains, and if Bakunawa is able to match that it'd be 34 trains per hour (680 riders per hour). I'm personally setting that as the ceiling, and in practice I'd expect a similar throughput level to what is seen on the larger raptors such as Jersey Devil Coaster or Wonder Woman Flight of Courage (which in my experience isn't great but isn't terrible when they're operating with at least three trains).

Memba the old days when we got our Project 2027 updates from snowy drone shots and we played connect the dots to figure out the track layout? Good times. 🤪 Here's a new one for old time's sake. Juuuuust a little different look since the last drone update in, what, March? 😎

I think clearly you can see if you follow the footers that the next footers are going to be poured over in Ka's plot and then, they'll start back to the station for the full circuit ride. I've heard that's what they're doing. jk

More from the livestream: According to Ryan Eldredge, the ride time of 2:07 includes the loading time and switch track moving. So 137 seconds is restraints-on to restraints-off, and within that, the time from pulling out to pulling back in the station is just over a minute.

Are they also including the time you spend in the test seat at the entrance?
