I still feel like Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance is like a tagline or something. Like in a commercial they would say “Come experience Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance on Phantom Spire at Six Flags Great Adventure”, or something of that sort

But the announcement date seems to be official at least

I’m a bit surprised the announcement is so late in July. I know they’re waiting for Shoreline Pier to properly open before announcing project purple but I was still expecting the first 2 weeks of July. Track-work is almost definitely going to be complete by that point.

Also yeah the name is really bad, like one of the worst.

It’s like a bad joke at this point. I’m not surprised….just disappointed that they’re going with this name.

They come out with an announcement and show us some AI generated logo I will be throwing hands.

Do better Six Flags
Yeah, putting all my faith on the name into them knowing this and playing with us. Gargantuan and Vengeance are workable on their own with other combinations of words, but not together. It's so literal. If we're doing that let's just cut the crap and call it Giant Roller Coaster. But I think it makes some sense, actually, after friggin' Tormenta Rampaging Run. GVV is sadly consistent. If it's GVV, I'd be happier with Barney's Big Ride and embrace the purple and some really crazy non-DC IP. 🤪

There's absolutely no reason to think this is teasing the actual name. It seems far more likely to me that they're just trolling thoosies with the name and teasing the planned announcement date.

Ultimately though, maybe I'm biased because I really do just absolutely refuse to believe that they would actually name this thing Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance. We have shitty ride names in this industry, don't get me wrong, but Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance is truly a level all its own—particularly for a ride of this importance. Imagine if for the next decade Six Flags was forced to advertise the park alongside the name of its flagship coaster, "Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance." There's just no way, surely...

Really hope so. I can see a teaser ad on their socials in the coming weeks going something like, "On July 28, gargantuan vertical vengeance comes to Six Flags Great Adventure as [The Kraken] is unleashed!"

I feel like this is the type of ride that absolutly should not get an ai logo. Not that the other ones should have but considering how big of a deal this is for the park the last thing they wanna do is look like they've cut corners. They need to REALLY make it look like they give a fuck. They need a home run on any and all fronts they can get.

On another note, they are really about to drop the Cherry Poppin Daddies of rollercoaster names on us 😭✌️

To tag line something Phantom Spire and see such a huge positive reaction from the fans and the enormous support from everyone …..

Just to be like: “chat gpi come up with a rollercoaster name for a tall rollercoaster that’s gigantic and a sea monster but keep it in line with recent names like flash vertical velocity”

Is next level tone deaf. Proof the upper managment still doesn’t listen
