Sorry to bump this thread, but if you ask me, a full refurb/renovation of Roaring Rapids would be of use for this park. It’s notoriously unreliable and could definitely use an upgrade,Roaring Rapids' existence is more debatable, it's a huge parcel of land that would be perfect for literally anything else except there's little else other than a rapids that would be able to go there without pissing off neighbors (regardless of what zoning says). They run it because there's no better ideas on the table right now.
Don't even dream about the two log flumes being removed though, they're both ridiculously popular and extremely high capacity. Even with a combined 2500 pph throughput or something like that they're still susceptible to hour-plus lines even in the evenings. It's just not happening.
Agreed and I think it helps that this is re-doing an area and keeping a lot of what is around it (Logger's Run, Little Dipper, Sprocket Rockets) instead of wholesale replacing stuff. I'd like to see more of this kind of approach, which is helped by not being solely about IP for kids/cartoon rides. It really is fascinating that Six Flags is taking the plunge and not going with an IP on this addition. It is like a mix of Timbertown at Great Escape, Camp Snoopy, and Wildwood Grove at Dollywood. I wonder if this is like a test location to see how they might move forward with IP in the chain in the future. I'm really thinking Six Flags Over Georgia could get this next, as a new kids area with no IP mentioned was part of a survey for that park.
Very interesting...
So legacy Six Flags parks may not have access to the Snoopy IP yet after all? At least while they have Looney Toons?
Seems like a pretty major development...
