This marketing really seems like something from the Herschend playbook, like the recent Discovery Meadow at Kentucky Kingdom.

There was a survey for Six Flags Over Georgia some time ago that proposed a new kids area with no IP mentioned.

Maybe this is just Looney Tunes, but if it is, it feels like bait and switch teasers. No raccoons, owls, foxes, deer, squirrels or swarms of dreamy lightning bugs in the Looney Tunes cast.

Roaring Rapids' existence is more debatable, it's a huge parcel of land that would be perfect for literally anything else except there's little else other than a rapids that would be able to go there without pissing off neighbors (regardless of what zoning says). They run it because there's no better ideas on the table right now.

Don't even dream about the two log flumes being removed though, they're both ridiculously popular and extremely high capacity. Even with a combined 2500 pph throughput or something like that they're still susceptible to hour-plus lines even in the evenings. It's just not happening.
A more modern Rapids ride over in that area would be a great addition. Roaring Rapids as a whole could use a refurb…

Only way I will accept them taking out one of the flumes, would be if we got a similar Super Flume ride to what Carowinds is getting next year.

I don't think they'll remove both; but can definitely see them removing Yankee Clipper/ whatever aqua man retime they have on it. The only time they get slammed is when the ambient air temps are in the high nineties. It's also prime real estate. And Six flags isn't really known for preserving their history. (Other than Whizzer) I'd love for them to go back to the themed areas, and themed cast uniforms. Yankee Harbor, Yukon Territory etc. But I don't see that happening with current ownership. Heck, I'd like the parking lot tram to return. But that won't happen.

This park, under Legacy Six Flags at that, rescued a classic wooden coaster from 1950 and continue to operate it with skid brakes and buzz bars to this day. There's something to be said for that.

Little Dipper is one of the coasters I’m looking forward to the most when I visit in a week. Usually I’m fairly neutral on family coasters, but family PTCs are a different breed entirely.

I don’t expect it to rank all that high, the Woodstock PTCs are 75/76/77 (KD/KI/Carowinds), but being ranked higher than 90 on my list means it’s at least a solid coaster.

This is incredible. Those footer holes are massive! Were there permits in place for this? Rumors were circling that SF started construction without the proper documentation.

Random side note... Looking at the picture above, I think the new SF should rename Goliath. It is a unique RMC roller coaster and I believe deserves to have its own unique name.

Are we thinking a Vekoma SLC like Flying Fox or maybe even an RMC Wild Moose?

Wheelgap posted a great video theorizing about the placement of this coaster based on the footers. This is the diagram he showed, which matches up with the current footers. There is conveniently a road going under the section of the coaster at Deno's Wonder Wheel where the midway would be at Great America, making this possible. This placement would also allow a path to go all the way around the coaster, as well as space for a possible new flat ride, plus leaving all of the former Camp Cartoon land open too!

I can't find any record of any planning or permitting action related to this project through Gurnee's online portals which feels truly unhinged. Surely they're not actually building a coaster with zero approval from the municipality?

I mean Waldameer has up until this week (hopefully resolved at least) been building their Vekoma coaster with zero permits issued, so it wouldn't be completely unheard of.

It is interesting, there is a momma duck with babies in the teaser, and some read this as a clue that the theme is Daffy Duck. This doesn't seem like Looney Tunes to me at all, but who knows at this point.

Still seems like a Dollywood type addition to me. It's almost like Six Flags is trying to out-Herschend the Herschend Parks ----like that Raccoon themed flume ride coming to Carowinds.

I was surprised how little presence Looney Tunes had at this park when I visited a couple weeks ago. Other than a few small fiberglass statues of characters in a couple of places around the park, there was basically nothing. Even the kiddie rides didn’t have a Looney Tunes theme.

That's interesting too, considering the Great America parks were where the looney tunes has their amusement park inception.
