I just want another (or an expanded!) water ride...
We know they're willing with both Catapult and Infinity Falls, and perhaps a package deal was bought including BGT, who hasn't gotten a new water ride in 40+ yrs. One can dream of a giga splash with Tidal Wave theming, but I don't know how much they're willing to work with Intamin on a water ride given how trimmed Catapult is running.

I mean. They knew the ride itself was a prototype so not all the bugs had been worked out so I mean, you reap what you sorrow. I think a Giga Splash would be a perfect addition for guests to beat the Florida Heat

This could also be a perfect spot for United to jump in on the Vekoma family boomerang market. That plot is perfect for it.
They just added a family coaster and there’s always 3 other rides with one train… that’s not a good idea haha

What about a small Axis Coaster
Given that BGT is currently having an obscene amount of issues with their other S&S product (Serengeti Flyer) that has since caused downtime in which required work walls to go up around the ride, I find it unlikely they’d want to work with S&S at this time. My understanding is BGT is also in the process of suing S&S, as the issue at hand involves basically building an entirely new ride on the inside, which is the expensive part.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that information. I also think a coaster like Hangtime at Knott's could be realistic. They could market it as the steepest drop in Florida. It would also fit quite well into this footprint.

Does anyone know when they plan on removing the coaster? I went to the park on 10/14 and the only thing that has been done to the ride is the sign removal and a work wall blocking the entrance. Everything including the lockers is still on site.

Not for a while

She's going to be up for a bit. Like I reckon most of 2025.

My understanding is it’s related to inspections… the ride wouldn’t have passed their next inspection for another operating year.

what does this means?, those it mean that this roller coaster is getting sold to another park?, I like to see some park get this roller coaster

If true, it just means that BGT believes the cost involved with getting it taken down quickly outweigh the negative perception that results from a standing but not operating coaster. I wouldn't read anything more than that into this personally.

I do hope any salvageable parts can find a home, but judging by what happened with the Mack Mouse, I think that's pretty unlikely.

There is always a chance for a large project in 2026. If they were to make the decision to put in a new water ride, which would be a great addition, then on the other side of the wall is the log flume ride. Stanley Falls is very old as well and takes up a ton on real estate. I don't see them putting in something like infinity falls here since they already have a similar ride there. Then again, putting an infinity falls style ride here would allow them to demolish the existing ride, Congo River Rapids, and would leave a large chunk of land at the back of the park to build any large ride they would like. In theory they could close off the entire rear of the park and do construction and it would not interrupt day to day park function. And that would leave plenty of ability to expand our from there to build a giga or similar ride. 1000018221.jpg
