Scorpion closing makes me think Jungala is now 2026? Or is Scorpion just going to sit leveled until after Jungala is finished? Part of me thinks they’re about to just plop down another packaged deal coaster like PR in its spot for next year

This area feels way too small for most things. If anything, this plot would be perfect for like a single rail or a clone of some sort, but I'm setting my expectations low with a simple flat ride.

FWIW, the latest rumor I'd heard about Scorpion was of a complete rebuild by Premier with new track, new trains, and a return to the old color scheme.

I wouldn't expect anything here...maybe the rides they removed to put in phoenix
Those are 1000% going where Bumper boats/cars are.

This was the first looper for so many young enthusiasts, myself included. However, because of Stanley Falls and Scorpion, guests are forced to basically walk a horseshoe around the park. I know that we've already lost 2 attractions in the past year, but if this small plot of land is combined with Stanley's plot, great things are possible. There are the logistics of train tracks thru that area, but a whole new mini-land with exhibits and an attraction could be cultivated.

Edit: Then again, indoor scorpion anyone ?
Doubt they would remove another water ride... its very popular still. They need more rides if anything.

It seems the park is alluding to future plans on the site. Could just be spin. We'll see. @Python_Survivor(front of house) nor I (back of house-ish) seem to be familiar with any plans for this. If there are plans, they are VERY recent.

Need to take out the carnival games and fix this area up. Plenty of room for a good size coaster. Assuming this will be a coaster based on the last two additions and the chain's trend.

The closure seems to be related in part to something like an inspection, it seems they had to spend $$$ to keep it open and are choosing not to.

Just like all the other Schwarzkopf's of that era, the train probably needs to be replaced (they're down to just one). It probably came down to spend money on that (along with the other upkeep of the coaster) or spend that money on Kumba and keeping it running a few more years.

I'm not gonna lie I genuinely have no idea about this project at the moment, if that changes I'll gladly share.

What's scary is I could totally picture a FreeSpin here.

That's not even a rumor, but I'd die inside if they did that; and PRKS DOES have an established relationship with S&S...

The plot that Scorpion sits on is pretty small, so I have a difficult time imagining a large thrill coaster in its plot. Could be possible that the space gets used for a flat or two (which the park needs BADLY), though I personally imagine a family coaster of some sort going in that plot.

Assuming it is a coaster, maybe it's an Intamin straddle? They're more than capable of squeezing into a pretty small plot, if Quantum Accelerator or Darkoaster is anything to go by.

Theoretically they could build an RMC single rail coaster in the same area that captures the spirit of Scorpion.
