Man I just can’t get over someone complaining about the Ka replacement yet wanting a ride like Tormenta to come to the park

Almost seems like a low effort troll

Almost seems like you childishly skip reading the sound justifications for the things I say and can't wrap your tiny mind around a difference in opinion

I also don't think Great Adventure should ever get a dive coaster. I don't think it should ever get a tower spinner. I think that if the options were Dive and Tower Spinner, I'd have picked dive.

My guy, I understand your frustration but you have no filter and need to understand what your saying and I think others will agree.

I know we're not supposed to be talking about individuals but I just had to get that out

I have no filter and I need to understand what I'm saying? What is the criticism? When I prove I know what I'm saying, people get pissy and just assign absolutely unsupported beliefs to me anyways, so I don't think articulation is the issue.

Does this qualify as spam at this point @Zachary ? It's not me inciting it. @RDL decided to derail the discussion and make it about me again today for no good reason.

It's not spam, but it's certainly annoying that people keep circling back to criticize you when the conversation has moved past your posts. I understand why people are annoyed with some of your positions/posts, but as I've advocated for before, the best solution for that isn't to continue to retort (especially with non-substantive criticisms), but instead to ignore/use post reactions to express the take.

In my opinion, people are right that @northdetective has done at least a little trolling, but truthfully, though I (and most everyone else here now I think) disagrees with him, he is basically an army of one advocating for a very unpopular position. If anyone else here was alone in their take and even taking a fraction of the pushback and criticism @northdetective has been daily, I think many would react worse than he has.

Thank you. There is a lot that goes unposted on my end, as shocking as that may seem. I really do just want to discuss the coaster without having to crawl out and defend myself and my positions.

Tomorrow marks one month of northdetective on the forum. Let our journey into this new era be focused on theme parks, amusement parks, and roller coasters, not me <3

Does this mean a complete circuit? I also found it intriguing that they are digging past the station almost by the sling shot
Great catch! In the state of the park thread there's a post showing they've ripped up all the blacktop. It could just be part of the boardwalk revitalization. Though if we see footers back there or continuing on the side that would be promising. Those footers do seem odd given the presumed tower footers we've seen previously.

My wild theory, to get more track length than Ka without being a circuit, it will actually be two separate tracks so we'd have two separate rides with slightly different routes like the chiller. Both sides of the chiller had a shared set of footers, though I'm sure this is an unlikely outcome in this case.

Hmm..like a dueling coaster than! That would be pretty cool! I remember it was said that only 50 percent of the footers were done in the tour in the summer. Unless I’m mistaken, most of the footers we seen have already been completed besides some more tower footers since than. Perhaps we actually have a decent amount of new footers left! It is difficult for me to see this tower coaster not being a shuttle, however there could be a switch track. I can also see this having a spike if they remove sling shot etc but this is just speculation at this point. We need to keep an eye on more footers being added.

anyway.. hai guys.. flash op here! im returning this season!! so excited about everything!!
the new coaster will be called king chiller machine thunder 2 guys! 100% legit!!

but in all seriousness this sounds cool af

I don't want to be mean or anything but I'm going to laugh so hard if it is something that nobody suspected while you all are over here going so deeply into what it could be.
there’s one dude on Coliwood’s discord who seems to be tapped in and has repeatedly been firm about everyone waiting to see what this is officially instead of jumping to conculsions

that being said, it could mean absolutely nothing, but maybe there’s some surprises in store here.

I think at this point it's pretty much certain it's this Mack spinner. This is based purely off the current locations of the footers, and the fact that the footers look incredibly similar to the footer for SDC's new 2027 coaster which is also believed to be a Mack. Looks like they're trying out a new footer style, I know many saw the round footers at first and thought this was going to be Intamin. I'll attach some images from Coaster Spot so you can see what I'm talking about.

HOWEVER, there have already been slight modifications to the original proposed ride (the turn into the stall being at an angle) so I do still think there is a chance we see more of these changes. That being said, keep expectations for those changes low. My guess is they are only being made for the ride to actually fit in this space. I would be shocked if it actually ends up being full circuit just because the shuttle aspect is definitely a cost cutting measure to make this ride affordable.

I don't think anyone mentioned it but besides the new tower footer the two footers highlighted above are new as well.
I’m pretty sure this is just for the pull up into the tower, which will be straight instead of a turn like previously expected. These two footers were just outside of the fence during the season, so they had to wait for the park to close before they could be poured.

In truth,
I didn’t want this Mack tower spinner simply because I don’t like spinning so it’s very far from my taste (seems most share this sentiment). With that said, as long as this is the start of the investment back into great adventure for the foreseeable future…. I’ll take anything. And it’s going to attract a crowd for sure

I have a friend who is worried about his motion sickness (he doesn't ride joker or houdini because of it) so I def get why the spinning aspect might be a turn off for some people. I have heard that most people don't feel anymore sick after Time Traveler or Ride to Happiness than any other coaster so hopefully its not that big a deal.
