Does anyone know what the decision was regarding the path to Fury, along with the dining location?

The entrance next to Fury is the only one permitted currently. An entrance into Carousel Park is not permitted for construction at this time.

The dining location was always considered to be "Phase 2". It's possible that it could open in 2027 with the entrance in Carousel Plaza, which I believe is very likely due to the placement of the teasers.

Time will tell, but I could most definitely see more than what's currently permitted being announced within the next 3 months.

New week, new construction update. Courtesy of Carowinds Fans Only.

The site gets more crowded by the day, with drainage/piping work full steam ahead. You'll also notice that dirt has begun moving towards where the ride entrance, promenade, and queue will be. There appears to be gravel laid behind the tree line where the station will sit.

The more I think about it, the more I am excited about the idea of a "backyard/wildlife/woods" themed super flume. I also am really hoping they do some decor work on the lift/drop tower structure to make it fit with a wildlife vibe. I also am really hoping for some theming during the parts between both splashdowns and maybe some sort of onboard audio. I found this video of the super flume ride at WB Movie World which looks to have a similar layout to this. Obviously I wouldn't expect Carowinds/Six Flags to invest in a giant mountain structure, but I would like to see similar props and onboard audio and some sound effects during the turntables.

The area surrounding the attraction, particularly the landscaping will be gorgeous. Photos from Rapterra's landscaping were cited as examples in the submitted plans, which excites me.

I'm concerned about the ride structure's aesthetics, considering anything done would be incredibly surface level due to what's permitted. The tower structures are going to be massive, and I'm hopeful the color scheme will be appealing, but I'm not anticipating major thematic elements to spare myself from disappointment.

What is interesting is the 2nd turntable will see riders enter a building to switch directions from backwards to forwards. I'm hopeful some sort of cute, minor show element takes place - but may just be to have a more aesthetically pleasing entrance to the maintainance shed.

I believe the "second turn table" isn't a turntable. Instead you just move from the left side to the right side as seen in this video at 0:31

You appear to be right! Here it is in the plans, clearly not a round turntable.

I'm curious if that box is an updated building plan as the original plans had a structure that was a bit smaller. If that's the building going there, I would love for it to be some sort of show scene. Like maybe another Mystic Timbers shed or Copperhead Strike barn moment?

Except for providing excellent views of the ride, not really.

Separately, I'm curious what estimates would be for the drop height. If they're going for the world record for water rides, it'll have to exceed 164ft in height. I think it's doable comparing images of Speed at Energylandia with renders of the attraction.

Obviously we'll find out in the coming months, but curious what others think.

I can’t see it exceeding 10 stories tbh. I think they’re aiming at a family demographic and in addition to that, I think the record for purely a flume vs a coaster would be more achievable.

It very well could exceed 10 stories, but the question is if it will take the world record. This is clearly a family-thrill addition due to the scale of it, while offering a 42" height requirement. The backwards drop alone appears to be 50ft+ about the height of Tiana's.

I do agree that them differentiating "flume vs coaster" is likely for the record.

Project 2027 track?

Holy shit! Here we go! I imagine those are for the station.

Which, speaking of, love that the station has an ADA load. This will make it so much less awkward for wheelchair users like myself.

Also - are those footers for the final drop being poured? I can't tell. I think not due to the footers in the permit being long rectangles containing both support columns.

I don’t know if those are poured yet, but I don’t think so
