I am even more concerned after the announcement and earnings call. Carowinds not being in the top performing group causes this. I hope it has just been an off year with multiple attractions removed, no entertainment, and the two new children’s rides opened very late in the season.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think it makes much sense to delay a project that’s this far along because the park underperformed this season. I feel like the ride removals are a major part of why Carowinds hasn’t done as good this season, so I don’t know how they’d expect the park to bounce back without new rides being brought in.

Besides Over Texas I don’t think a single park has done a teaser campaign this season, so I feel like we’re just not gonna get any from the chain.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it without a teaser to be made, I mean, six flags great adventure did announced total mayhem (now joker) without a teaser

That was many many many moons ago under the original six flags structure. This is the new Cedar Fair management which often likes to tease stuff. Do they always? No, but for the most part they do. I’d be guessing they could do it, but I find it more likely they will tease it.

The park is now on its 3rd set of revisions for the project.

The new pathway from Carousel Park to Fury325 is no more, the only access into the new area will be from Fury325 plaza.

2nd turntable following the backwards drop has had a modification to its covering / maintenance building.

Everything else otherwise is identical, it appears that they want to move forward with this new attraction.

The park has been ambitious with it's new developments for some time now, this year's Camp Snoopy attractions faced massive budget cuts from the original planned overhaul to the area.

Time will tell if they ever end up building that path connection and future restaurant in a "Phase 2", but the narrowing of the pathway depicted in the updated plans doesn't give me hope.

It's a real shame that the viewing area for the 1st drop is gone, as well as the landscaped seating areas tucked away from the main path.

10 years later, and Carowinds will still have guests headed down that dreadful path to Fury (and this new attraction). The entrance should've remained in Carousel Park.

I’m still so worried it’s going to be an eyesore and boring at the same time. Nothing about this says excitement.the first time I got a survey about it I was critical of it in response to. I guess cheap won out in the long run.

Maybe they have different plans for where the path from Carousel Park was going to be? Who knows. It could always get added in the future with a new attraction. I don't think it's that big of a deal, especially if it means this ride can open in 2026 and not get delayed to 2027.

I think the assumption (before all the budget cuts) was that this water ride was for next year and then 2027 would be a new coaster in Nighthawks plot.

It's just impractical to expect back-to-back large investments with the current state of SFEC. This project is huge, the ride looks like a mammoth.

It has the potential to be a colossal eyesore up against Fury, and right at the front gate. I'm doubtful the structure will have thematic elements. Regardless, I have hope it won't be visually offensive, and looks nice

Hopefully we'll see an announcement in the coming weeks!!!

My other hope with this project was that we’d see the train make a return considering it’s in storage underneath Fury, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Seriously though, has there been an installation of one of these before and do they stick out as being as ugly as I fear? I know we don’t have all the confirmations yet, but hoping to get some ideas.
