Beating the "Aha it's a Wild Moose!" comments to say I am 99% positive it's going to Kentucky Kingdom next year, and RMC ain't building two.
Am curious as to what it'd be, park doesn't need further ride additions asides from a family coaster or some major interactive attraction.

Interesting. Also, how is the park performing nowadays after FR? I heard that the water park is fine, but the park was just making ends meet.
I'm hearing that they're doing pretty well. Solid year-over-year growth. Helps that they didn't take on any debt to build the place.

It will be absolutely insane if Lost Island really has another new coaster for 2027. I'm not mentally prepared for a Lost Island with five coasters.
I know they're trying their darndest to make this park work financially and, truthfully, I don't know what I'd be changing in-park to make that work beyond piling new family attractions into the place, but this is a lot.
I think Lost Island will eventually succeed. Don’t underestimate how far midwesterners will drive for shit. If the waterpark can keep them afloat for a while (which it can), it could develop into a nice little midwestern disney lite. Sell joint tickets with the hotel/casino right there or something. I hate casinos but that’s a good deal for big, multi-generational families who may have kids more interested in the parks and older folks who want a nice hotel/pool/casino

Not only do they own the Waterpark, the owners also own a very successful furniture store. The theme park is a true passion project for them.

Any clue to what this actually is? I know they planned for a mine train behind the SLC, but it doesn't seem like this is the same project or spot in the park. Reading into "we dug too deep" - maybe some kind of drop tower with a sunken station?
LOVING the possibility of them naming a Wild Moose the Underground and becoming Iowa's premier Underground coaster experience. They dug too deep

It would make sense. This park could use another family coaster and RMC is very close
Probably out of the park’s budget. They’re probably set on thrill coasters with the 3 they have tbh
