while the electric guitars are cool, (and fit better with the new theme)

Genuine question: What am I missing from the new theme that makes the electric guitars fit?

I've watched a couple POVs now to hear the audio cues that didn't seem to be working on my ride, and it seems MASSIVELY out of place to me. Like sorta just tacky, frankly.

(I had an emergency come up immediately after my first lap on Vbolt Friday, had to leave the park, and now I'm out of town so I haven't gotten another ride with hopefully more effects turned on in-person yet—hence relying on POVs.)

I feel personally it fits with the less realistic, more cartoony theme the ride has developed. Not a perfect match, but the new theme is undoubtedly less gritty and dramatic than the old one (ex: there being a joke about giving Frau “5 stars” on the drop track.
Would I prefer for there to be a moodier soundscape? Yeah, but I don’t think the new theme completely ruins my ride expierence.

I only got one ride in the front row yesterday. All effects appeared to be working accordingly. I echo others in saying the ride is certainly "improved" from what it was before. I hope they maintain the new theming better than the previous version of Verbolten. The large tree structure and high tech branches over the drop track with the animatronic are a large improvement over what was there before.

One comment and SPOILERS for the unridden down below this sentence:

I am not crazy about the "give me 5 stars" comment. It's a bit too "meta" for me when I am trying to be immersed in that world. But that's just my personal opinion more power to those who probably got a kick out of that.

Personally I don’t mind a more cartoonish theme for Bolt. We let Ludwig get away with heinously cartoonish shit, I think the Frau is a great character to fill that void.

That being said, I’d prefer BGW not go this route with every new addition assuming theming keeps up. Like any Pantheon refresh should stay very serious to reflect the coaster and the tone they wanted initially.

The only thing I hope they change is the light bleed if it’s still that bad. I watched a night POV and it’s pretty insane how much better the show scenes look without daylight leaking in. Maybe the fog will help that.

Saturday night when the ride broke down and the queue was empty I had the opportunity to film the entire 6 minute Queue Frau animatronic and all her lines. She’s pretty fluid, for a regional park!

Hopefully I haven’t been too annoying to you guys, always talking about spiels, speakers etc. It’s been a long time since the announcement and this has been one of the most hyped threads I have ever been a part of. All of you guys were just awesome and I had a blast!

That being said, since the ride is open now and all that remains of this thread is just updates on certain things post, I feel like now is the perfect opportunity to show you guys what I have been cooking. Great timing considering the current discussion you guys are having.

ATTACHED IS THE HIGHEST QUALITY FULL SOUNDTRACK AND AUDIO OF THE ORIGINAL VERBOLTEN THEMING I COULD COMPILE TOGETHER USING MANY MANY MANY VIDEOS, AMBIANCE RECORDING, RECORDING NEXT TO SPEAKERS ETC. FAREWELL VERBOLTEN 2012-2026.

Take a listen!

I’m going to take my edit and see if I can integrate it with the current theme, with the new soundtrack and see what comes of it,

Also, WHERES THE BRIDGE EFFECT BGW YOU COULDVE LEFT IT LOL

It’s done guys, the full ride with the remastered new soundtrack and the old soundtrack COMBINED into one audio package, while the current ride is pretty cartoony at the very least the old ride audio returning to a certain extent might make the ride experience even better in my opinion

I actually agree. Minus the spirit voice actually sounds pretty good!

Looks like they're running media day back next week (Tuesday for press shoots, Wednesday for media). Curious what turnout looks like compared to what they managed without the ride being operational.
For local TV and newspapers, it won't matter much, they'll still come. YouTubers, influencers and theme park media (like me!) will be understandably less interested in it now that so many people have already been on it. I'm personally choosing to come on my own after the debacle with the last media event.

I hope they don't switch to Monday and close it to the public

The trains were not the problem at the Big Bad Wolf. They could've kept the original trains.

Also, the track did get replaced in sections just like Loch Ness Monster did. They really tried with the old Wolf. Removing it was the best option, unfortunately.

From my understanding the extreme swinging BBW did caused extra stress to the track. If they kept the old, heavier trains, they'd have to trim the ride to keep the trains from tearing the track apart constantly.

Arrow most likely refined the more recent suspended coasters so they wouldn't wear the track down as much.

While Vortex and Bat do have their extreme moments, they're a bit shorter than BBW.

Ninja has a few intense moments but nothing on par with BBW.

Iron Dragon ran pretty slow so swinging is minimized.

Vampire has some intense moments, but its mostly gradual turns. And they also had their vehicles replaced.

Where did you hear this? I have not heard ANYTHING from anywhere else on this.
