Kevin has to have been holding a gun to Marc Swanson’s head for the last year or so. Animatronics, moving signs, expanded facade, screens in the station, large-scale physical props… how on earth did they accomplish this under the United budget
I cannot wait
I actually think more people will support and comment vs Lochness which had great support. I am excited for Ireland 2027

I'm pretty sure they figured out with Loch Ness Monster that they can allocate an entire capital project budget into an existing attraction and market it as "new". Loch Ness Monster  needed new track and therefore needed the budget of what a new ride might have costed. The budget for Loch Ness Monster's renovation and the Big Bad Wolf 2 were very similar in cost.

The overwhelmingly positive response to the renovation led to what we're seeing nowadays with the Big Bad Wolf and Verbolten revamps. Evidently, nostalgia is being seen as a marketing tactic now with a little bit of modern freshness sprinkled in.

Overall this park has been good about maintaining their major rides instead of removing them. Over the 50 year history of the park there have been few major rides removed……Drachen Fire (with good reason), Big Bad Wolf ( with a replacement with a similar layout), the monorail, Le Mans and Darkastle. And 3 portable coasters. Several years ago they replaced the log flume instead of removing it.

Now their flat rides are a different story….
