Turns out it's the Gotham City Funnel Cake stand from Six Flags America.
This area of the park has become completely unrecognizable and that’s the best thing that could’ve happened to it. Never thought I’d see the day that there were angles of Great Adventure that weren’t immediately recognizable to me.
Both ElToroRyan and Coliwood mentioned there's going to be entertainment in the Shoreline Pier called the Sea Gals (sp?)
The park announced it yesterday. I think somewhere in the park socials I saw it.

It seems both events/names that have been tossed around for Great Adventure's boardwalk - Boardwalk Nights and Singin' SeaGals - are taken from Cedar Point's boardwalk events. Here's a video of the Singin' SeaGals during Boardwalk Nights at Cedar Point:

There are six flags though. Four at the top, one in shoreline, and one in pier

cute logo. hoping I can appreciate the environmental/vibe change that will hopefully result from adding these flats. the nebulaz will be fun to watch and ragin cajun looks very at home among them all
kind of a random pull but I hope if there's no plans for a water feature (I don't really want one at scale tbh. they just should've had a "boardwalk" area along the lake) that something like Fiesta Texas' DC universe fountain will manifest. I don't at all know the history of this structure but the mosaic certainly makes it look like it predates DC universe, probably back to the original Fiesta theming. it has a few of those water jets pictured that make waves of a significant amplitude in the other areas of the water. very sea-like and mesmerizing to watch

I know there's a lot of love for the park's history and legacy around here, but I would love for someone to explain to me in small, easy to understand words when and how a boardwalk area ended up in one of the only places at SFGAdv not near any water. I totally agree that this theme belongs almost literally anywhere else and I would love to understand how the original boardwalk development happened where it did.

Used to be called Goodtime Alley and eventually got rethemed to the Boardwalk.
didnt that area split into both Edward airforce base & boardwalk when right stuff added in 1994 before merging into boardwalk in 1999

Looking at the GA History site and old park maps doesn't show the area after the games as ever having it's own designation. Could just be incomplete information though.

Despite the boardwalk area not being near any water, I think it fits pretty well with where it is in my opinion. It was my favorite part of the park growing up and slowly became my least favorite after being left to deteriorate for a decade.
The lake is just a body of water surrounded by a massive forest. The boardwalk area is atleast a bit of a distance away from any wooded area, to where you don’t really notice anything other than the blue sky in the background as a backdrop for the area when you’re in it. I think it works honestly
