Personally, I would sacrifice most if not all of the Fright Fest mazes if a permanent attraction or theming can be put in its place.

As said in a different thread, I've love water to be used to fill out the open areas if they don't have expansion plans. Finishes the "pier" theming.
something like knotts berry farm pier area that used to be perilous plunge would fit the bill plus its fits the pier theme

They’ll have turned the worst area of the park into arguably the best just like that

I hope they have plans to revamp the rest of the park, and if they do, I can’t wait
There are lots of areas of the park that are actually very good, but they just need a little presentation improvement. Add back some trees and landscaping, reduce the volume of concrete, and bring back some mood lighting or string lights as they're doing in Shoreline Pier. Stamped concrete themed to certain areas. Little things like that can go a long way as we're seeing. Oceans of generic concrete and asphalt gets old, and hot. I can think the wide space around Skycreamer and the ferris wheel could look really nice if they just made the area less open and plain. The whole park used to be thick with tall branchless pines creating a nice shaded look below that lent itself to lights at night. They should get back to that. It was lost over the decades with overdevelopment and overpaving.

Tearing out the cracked concrete throughout the park and replacing it would do wonders on its own

The worst areas now in my opinion are the lakefront to Junior Thrill seekers area. The kiddie rides are outdated, the theming from joker, roaring rapids, nitro etc are not consistent. The golden kingdom and plaza de carvel are great areas but need to remove the ads everywhere and get new rides.

Metropolis is also pretty solid and Movietown is serviceable, though I wish the Batman Stunt Arena would be removed and something else would be put there. Could very easily relocate the Dead Man’s Party stage, even back to in front of the Giant Wheel.

Boardwalk really was the worst section even in 2024, though. We traded a (pretty great) SBNO flat, an upcharge, and a generally disliked coaster for a solid coaster, 3 new flats, and a better home for an existing flat.

I hope the park understands that the extra detail they are adding to this space is not going unnoticed. It may take a few years, but I think a lot of families and guests will have very positive outlooks on the park after seeing Shoreline. Continue upgrading other areas, and I think the perception on the park is going to be very positive.

Happy they’re working to get it open, but if they need to wait until next month that’s not an issue, would rather them make sure the area looks great than to rush something and have it not look great
