Love the trees. The SUF area at GAm vs. here at GAdv was like night and day in terms of quality for so long. The fact that we're getting closer to what's at GAm gives me alot of encouragement with how much they care about the park now

Nothing new with Project Purple
More progress on the Shoreline Pier, all rides are now at least partially vertical.
New lampposts have been added, looks really nice
Supports for string lights and shade structures being put in
Lots of landscaping being put in looks great
Some electrical buildings are being constructed

To update his update since he hasn't seen Fred Fishkin's interview from Wednesday, Shoreline Pier will open Memorial Day Weekend.

Truly impressed with how fast they pulled this together. The rides are all relocated, sure, but they knocked it out of the park in terms of theming as well.

Shade structures might actually be the most exciting part of this, the Boardwalk going from a desolate asphalt wasteland to this in the span of a few months was NOT on my bingo card.

theming on this is huge. even though this is small, its a really positive step IMO in terms of the future vision for this park. need more of these little bit by bit revamps across the park now. i think maybe the #1 overall issue for GA is just how disjointed everything feels from a combo of how expansion was handled and how bad maintenance and theming work has been over the years. doing stuff like this to bring some kind of cohesion back to the park is a really good step. next priority should be trying to work out the movietown/metropolis end of the park and the sheer amount of weird dead ends/wasted space there is.

This looks way better than Green Lantern did, really makes you realize just how much of a monstrosity that ride was, in all aspects

Seeing this part of the park get a much needed makeover is great, and it looks so much better than I imagined it would

The first attached image really highlights how much space they left not just next to Superman, but at the end of the "pier" between BoF and Spire. Really wonder what they'll do with that space in the meantime and the eventual attraction that fills it.

I think there’s room for haunted houses and queues on either side of BOF. If they want to go that route, of course.

That is a delightful amount of space left over, would be very cool to see that become a whole loop around BOF:

I guess would put a walkway underneath the upside down part of phantom spire (required a safery net) so it can correct from boardwalk to golden kingdom (if that's the park's next project after that) and put a fright fest building that can house 1 or 2 mazes (in a event the right stuff building gets gutted/demolished) next to the wave swinger (Give it a facade) and that saves the remaining green lantern room for a new coaster in the future

iirc it was confirmed that the area surrounding project purple (which is currently just a bunch of dirt) would be entirely addressed during the construction of the ride, and it’ll look completely different once the ride is fully built

Personally, I’d rather they not drop a building that only serves a purpose for a couple months a year in their brand new well themed area. Maybe if it wasn’t at the very front of the park and the building could be easily obscured from November to whenever in September Fright Fest starts anymore, but for now I’d like them to let the area breathe and leave room for expansion, even if small.

I agree, plus it’d probably mess up the nice view you’d get behind all the rides

Just saying, that building could be something like Morey's Ghost Ship - a year-round haunted walkthrough.

I’m pro for keeping the area as open as possible - but on the obscured front, I wouldn’t mind seeing them plant trees and pines and natural grasses to give a dunes like feel and hide the parking lot from path level.
